"This looks quite small for a dungeon."
A cave with cracks on its wall, spreading out like a spider web, could be seen as a male voice echoed through the surroundings.
The cave's entrance was around 1.5 meters in length, making it impossible for even an average-sized human to enter without bending their head. From the inside, however, it was around 20 to 30 meters long, or so it seemed from the outside.
The whole cave looked like it would fall with a slight tremor, enough to make anyone hesitate to even enter it.
"It is the first and the world's weakest dungeon. And it's like a tutorial, so it being small and easy to finish is not uncalled for."
A female voice was heard after the male's voice ended, trying to give him a better idea of what was happening.
"I see. So, I just need to clear this dungeon by killing the monsters inside, right?"
The male voice questioned again as soon, as some movements could be seen inside the darkness inside the cave.
There seemed to be some silver flashes shining as the sunlight from some cracks on the cave ceiling reflected by some shiny object.
"Yes."
The female voice replied again, and soon, an awkward silence descended through the area, which was broken by the male, who questioned in a curious and confused voice.
"Sophie dear, how do you suggest I fight the monster inside the cave with you hanging onto me like this?"
The owner of the male voice finally came into view. It was Alex, standing with an expression that clearly made it seem like he was enjoying his time.
"Hm? Well... J-Just a few more minutes, please?"
Sophie, on the other hand, was being carried by Alex on his back, her arms around Alex's neck and her legs coiled around his waist.
The way she was resting her body on Alex's, he was perfectly feeling her full breasts, and his arms, which were supporting her body by holding her things were also able to feel her bouncy ass a bit, so he was wearing an expression of bliss as said before, enjoying his time.
"As you wish, love."
That was why, when Sophie asked for some more minutes, he let her be, as it was comforting for both of them—to feel the heat of each other's bodies.
It had been a while since Sophie had been hanging on Alex's back. It was when they came out of the dream space that she requested this, and Alex, thinking of it as her random request, accepted it as it was not really a problem or a hard task.
Since then, he had been roaming around in this dream world, which was around 2 kilometers in radius from what Sophie had told him.
He kept roaming around until he finally found the only thing that seemed to stand out in these all-green surroundings, and after inquiring Sophie about it, he found out that this was the dream dungeon, the main function of the dream infinite system.
As he progressed in strength, the world grew, spawning more such dungeons, and by killing the monsters or beasts within these dungeons, Alex would be able to amass system points, which could be further used to buy things from the system's shop.
The dungeon in front of him right now was the tutorial dungeon of a sort—something he had to clear in order to completely start the functioning of the dream world.
He had to wipe out the monsters inside the cave, and from the looks of it, the monsters were already aware of his presence, but they didn't seem to have any plans of coming out of the cave or maybe they couldn't come out of it.
If the dungeon in this dream world were like the ones rarely found in the novel world, then the monster would never be able to leave the dungeon, but he wasn't sure about it, so...
"Can the monsters come out of the dungeon, love?"
He did the best thing he could think of—asking the system itself.
"No, not these ones."
Sophie's reply, instantaneous but muffled, reached Alex's ear, making him tilt his head a bit.
"Not these ones? So, will there be some like that, later?"
Understanding the meaning behind her words, he questioned for confirmation, making Sophie, who had her lips touching Alex's neck, kissing and licking it from time to time, nod her head in agreement.
"Yes."
She spoke, making Alex hum thoughtfully, a curious light shining in his eyes as he stepped closer to the cave. A single step, but that was enough to give him the reaction he wanted.
"Krrrr..."
"Kraa..."
He could hear low growls filled with warning just because of the single step he took toward the cave, making him formulate plans to deal with this situation.
He still didn't know what monster was in there, waiting for him to step in, or how many there were. Sophie didn't really tell him that as she nor did he ask.
It was a tutorial, something that would give him an idea of what he needed to face in the future. So, it would be better if he were to not take any help from Sophie.
He needed to survive in a world of magic, and although he already had plans for that, he needed to gain experience in fighting with magic and mana, which he could gain a lot in this world—something he was going to completely exploit.
He stared at the entrance of the cave.
'Short but wide, so the monsters inside are probably short in size, and they usually move in groups, which means they will probably have good coordination...'
Alex mused inwardly, tapping his feet on the ground, thinking of what was the best approach until something finally clicked.
'Yep! That's it.'
He nodded inwardly, but before he could think of something else, he felt Sophie shift on his back.
"What's wrong, love?"
He questioned, feeling Sophie's movement, and Sophie, hearing his words, just shook her head.
"Nothing. I was thinking of getting down now. Need to give you some briefing, as well."
She spoke, kissing his cheek once by extending her neck a bit before she got down, stretching her body, which, although healed, still felt sour.
"Hmmm~~"
Only after a bit of stretching, which gave Alex a nice view, did she turn to look back at Alex, nodding inwardly, knowing full well that he wouldn't want her to help him deal with the monsters, so she would help him in another way.
"It is time to open your gift."
She spoke, staring into his eyes, smiling as she saw them lightening up in realization. He seemed to have completely forgotten about the gifts, but those gifts were something that would give him a big boost to start his journey with.
It would be the first and the only gift he would ever get from the system, and that was precisely why it wouldn't be something to scoff at.
"Status Window."
So, with a nod, Alex called out to his status window, ready to open his gift.
