Chapter 66 - Protecting Brethren

The Baital would be inside the cave any moment now.

Amyla winced as dust fell from the ceiling. Luckily the cave was made by some beast, probably the Baital, and thus there were no stalactites that could fall and pierce them. Still, there was plenty of rock above them that could fall and entomb them.

Cursing herself, Amyla knew she was the reason everything around was crumbling. There had to have been a better way to keep him out that didn't lead to this.

Maybe she could've made his legs disappear or something... she was sure she could live without legs.

Her legs wobbled as Kai forced her to move. His energy was focused on the beast's as he led them to a corner deep in the cave.

'He's coming up with a plan... like he did before.' If she wasn't scared out of her mind she would've smiled a thanks at him.

As it stood, she was trying to steel herself enough to think of a new wish.
