Kai crashed into the land of the living as the class ended, severing that primal link between him and his magic.
His return was extremely violent. It felt as though he was being slammed around by hands that had no intention of being gentle in the slightest. Flailed around within his mindscape, he had no balance once he exited it and returned to the true world.
Feeling his legs weaken, Kai flung his hands in front of him, frantically bracing for the impending fall. His left leg was the first to crumble with a sickening squelching sound, but his right leg wasn't too far behind.
A hand shot out from behind him to catch the drape of his uniform. Kai heard a slight ripping sound coming from his uniform, causing him to curse under his breath.
Without even looking around at his classmates, he knew they now thought of him as weak.
