Shubhu was suddenly awakened by the sound of someone calling his name. As he got out of bed and looked through the window, he saw Ansh, Kavi, and Siya standing outside, waiting for him. Ansh waved and shouted, "Shiva, are you up? Let's go!" Shubhu nodded and quickly got ready, heading downstairs to join them.
Together, they began their journey back to the dungeon. As they walked, Ansh turned to Shubhu and asked, "So, how are you feeling now? What kind of powers do you have?"
Shubhu smiled slightly and replied, "I can copy anyone's powers by observing them."
They continued walking, but Shubhu's mind wandered back to the night before, recalling how he had spoken to the spirits. After the fight with Karan, the spirits had evolved, gaining elemental powers like fire, water, earth, and darkness. Because of this, Shubhu realized that he could now harness their powers more effectively, making him stronger in ways he had never imagined.
When they arrived at the dungeon, they gathered the loot they had earned and returned to the guild. The guild was bustling with activity, but Shubhu noticed Satya approaching with a wide grin on his face.
"Shiva! How are you doing? Everywhere I go, people are talking about how you defeated that evil! You've become quite the talk of the guild," Satya said, clapping Shubhu on the back. "What do you say? How about a duel?"
Shubhu was about to decline, not in the mood for a fight after what had happened the previous day. But before he could speak, Pragya, the spirit of knowledge, whispered in his mind.
"Shubhu, accept the duel. Satya is a high-tier god heir. If you fight him, you might unlock more of your latent powers, especially those connected to the God of Destruction, Shiva. This could be the key to becoming stronger."
With a reluctant nod, Shubhu agreed. Satya's grin widened, and soon word of the duel spread through the guild like wildfire. By the time they reached the arena, a large crowd of guild members had gathered, eager to see the fight.
Rekha, the guild assistant, stepped forward, raising her hand. "Let the duel begin!"
Satya wasted no time. He called upon his powers, summoning a devastating punch that seemed to gather the very force of the earth behind it. The ground beneath his feet cracked as he lunged forward, his fist aimed directly at Shubhu. The punch was powerful enough to obliterate anything in its path.
Shubhu, relying on his spirits, quickly called forth Kartika, the wind spirit, summoning a barrage of wind knives to intercept the punch. The knives flew through the air, sharp and fast, but they disintegrated upon contact with the raw power of Satya's strike. The punch barreled toward Shubhu, and he had no choice but to activate his time magic.
Time slowed around Shubhu as he stepped aside, narrowly avoiding the devastating blow. The ground where the punch landed exploded in a shower of dust and debris, leaving a massive crater.
Satya grinned, impressed by Shubhu's quick thinking. "You're fast," he said, his voice filled with excitement. "But let's see how long you can keep dodging!"
He leaped into the air, aiming to crash down on Shubhu with the force of a mountain. Shubhu quickly used his wind powers to create a protective bubble around himself. As Satya came crashing down, the wind barrier held for just a moment before shattering under the impact. Shubhu barely managed to roll out of the way, the force of the blow sending tremors through the arena.
Gritting his teeth, Shubhu decided to combine his powers. Calling upon both Rudra, the wind spirit, and Dharā, the earth spirit, he summoned a massive tornado laced with debris and rocks. The roaring whirlwind surged toward Satya, threatening to engulf him.
But Satya, unfazed, slammed his fist into the tornado. The force of his punch shattered the winds, dispersing the debris in all directions. The crowd gasped in awe at the sheer display of power.
"You'll need more than that!" Satya roared as he summoned his trident—a weapon made of pure aura and light. The gleaming trident crackled with energy as he hurled it toward Shubhu with deadly precision.
Shubhu, feeling the overwhelming energy from the trident, desperately summoned all his remaining power. He called forth every element he could control: wind, water, earth, and fire. Spirits swirled around him as he summoned knives and barriers, trying to counter the incoming attack. But the trident cut through everything like a knife through butter, its light overpowering all of Shubhu's defenses.
Just when it seemed like the trident would strike, Satya abruptly stopped the attack. With a flick of his wrist, the trident vanished, and Satya walked over to Shubhu with a grin. "Shiva, I have to admit, you're stronger than I thought. A low-tier like you shouldn't be able to keep up with me for this long. How about we call this a draw?"
Shubhu was breathing heavily, his body sore from the intense exertion. He had barely managed to keep up with Satya's overwhelming strength. Still, he nodded, relieved that the duel was over.
The crowd erupted into cheers, chanting Shubhu's name. "Shiva! Shiva! Shiva!"
Satya laughed and clapped Shubhu on the shoulder. "Let's have a party tonight. To celebrate this fight and our new friendship. What do you say?"
Shubhu smiled, grateful that the battle had ended on good terms. He had earned the respect of Satya and the guild, and perhaps most importantly, he had unlocked more of his own power. With each challenge, he was getting closer to understanding who he truly was—and what he was capable of.
