Yet, he was at work, stuck in an urgent meeting because some idiot decided to smoke in a non-smoking area. Of course, the place had caught on fire.
Luckily, the entire establishment did not go down in flames. The manager and the rest of the staff on duty controlled the fire before it engulfed the whole building, isolating the incident on one floor.
"So, how many injured personnel are we talking about?" He asked the man in charge of the incident. "Are there any casualties, Tony?" He anxiously clarified.
Now, he was busy trying to implement some damage control protocols. He could not leave the wounded unattended.
The last report did not indicate any deaths, but that could easily change a few hours after the fire breakout. Somebody could have died due to their severe injuries even after receiving treatments.
