After last night, she only wanted to stay in her room, crawl deeply underneath her blanket, and hide away from the world.
However, what she wanted was irrelevant as she jumped out of bed and prepared for the day. Joining the family for breakfast was the least of her priorities as she had pressing matters to attend to.
"Better get this over with." It seemed everybody was concerned about her health, or rather, they could not wait to hear if she was pregnant.
She took the box from her bag and pulled out the stick. She was supposed to pee on it and wait for five minutes.
Truthfully, this was not what she expected she would be doing early in the morning on Christmas Day.
But what about her? Was she looking forward to becoming a mother as she stared at the stick, waiting for the lines to show up on the tiny slit?
