"What happened, Chase?" He watched as his wife fainted in his friend's arms while they were dancing.
He was already on his way to his wife when he noticed her hands reaching up and touching her head. It was clear she was in distress.
He ran as fast as he could until he stood by her side. But he was too late as she already fainted in his friend's arms. Fortunately, his friend caught her before she hit the floor.
"I don't know, Lucas," Chase answered, acting clueless. "She suddenly turned quiet. Then, the next thing I knew, she looked dizzy and lost consciousness."
Quickly, he took his wife from his friend's arms and carried her across the ballroom. Of course, the incident caused a commotion, but he did not care.
His only concern was the well-being of his wife. What was wrong with her? Why did she suddenly faint?
