Power Levels
Level 1: Novice
Description: At this level, users are just beginning to tap into their powers. They have only a basic understanding of how their energy works and can perform limited, simple feats. Their control is unstable, and they struggle to use their abilities efficiently or consistently.
Capabilities:
Basic energy manipulation, such as generating small amounts of energy or using it for simple tasks. Powers are often unpredictable or short-lived. Struggles with maintaining control over energy.
Examples:
A fire manipulator may be able to start a small flame but struggle to sustain it or control its intensity. A telekinetic might lift a small object briefly, but not with precision or force.
Level 2: Adept
Description: At this stage, users gain a deeper understanding of their powers and can manipulate energy with more precision and consistency. They are becoming adept at using their abilities in combat or in practical scenarios, though still have limitations.
Capabilities:
Increased energy output and better control over abilities. Powers are more reliable, though still limited in scope and effectiveness. Some users begin to experiment with the full range of their abilities but lack the fine-tuning that comes with greater mastery.
Examples:
A water manipulator may be able to control and shape water, but still struggle to control large volumes or complex forms. A biological manipulator might be able to heal minor injuries but can't yet alter genetic structures or heal critical wounds.
Level 3: Expert
Description: Users at this level have a strong command of their powers. They can manipulate energy with great precision and begin to understand the deeper mechanics behind their abilities. Their powers are powerful enough to be used strategically in combat or large-scale situations.
Capabilities:
Full control over their primary energy, able to manipulate it in complex ways. Powers can be used in combat or practical scenarios effectively. Some advanced techniques become available, allowing users to push their abilities to their limits.
Examples:
A fate manipulator might be able to influence smaller decisions and events with high accuracy, altering the course of outcomes in subtle ways.A quantum manipulator can start to alter probabilities in their favor more consistently, causing complex shifts in reality around them.
Level 4: Master
Description: At the Master level, users have near-perfect control over their energy and can manipulate it in highly advanced ways. They can manipulate large-scale phenomena, with powers that can change the course of battles or even shape events on a larger scale. Users at this level can manipulate the boundaries of their abilities with confidence, although they are still limited by the laws of nature.
Capabilities:
Highly refined energy control, allowing for powerful, large-scale manipulations. Ability to manipulate the environment around them in more complex and impactful ways. Users can begin pushing the limits of what their energy can do, though not without significant risks.
Examples:
A biological manipulator at this level could alter the genetic structure of organisms, heal even fatal injuries, or control a biological entity entirely. A space manipulator could phase through solid objects effortlessly, create portals for instantaneous travel, or distort space on a massive scale to warp an entire area.
Level 5: Legendary
Description: The pinnacle of power. Users at this level are almost god-like, able to manipulate energy with such precision and strength that they can reshape reality itself. They can defy the natural laws, perform extraordinary feats, and change the fabric of the world around them. Users at this level are considered the most dangerous and influential beings in the world.
Capabilities:
Total mastery over their energy type, capable of performing feats that were previously thought impossible. Can bend the laws of physics and reality, often causing widespread, lasting effects. Some users have abilities that affect time, space, life, or even the very fabric of existence.
Examples:
A telekinetic at this level can move entire city blocks or manipulate massive objects with ease, creating devastating force. A fate manipulator can control entire events, ensuring the outcome they desire without fail, even controlling the lives and destinies of others and stripping people of their free will.
Dregs refers to individuals who lack the ability to manipulate energy, placing them at the bottom of the societal hierarchy. These people are considered powerless in a world dominated by those with superhuman abilities. The term "Dreg" reflects their position in society, as they are often seen as lesser, expendable, or insignificant compared to the energy manipulators who possess incredible powers.
