I shook all thoughts of awe and approached the giant pool of liquid containing the AI core.
'Until now, I've always had to touch a robot to use Mind Splicing.'
'Would it be possible to do it from far away?'
'No, I can't lessen my chance to succeed.'
I dived right into the unknown liquid suspending the AI core.
The liquid seemed to be the same type of nutritious liquid I had been submerged in whenever I entered the medical pod.
After paddling my tiny legs for a few minutes, I finally reached the gigantic mush of brain matter and electronics.
I put both of my hands on the brain and used Mind Splicing.
As I connected with the AI core, an insane amount of information overloaded my brain.
"GRGLGRLRGGRRRLLRLRLHHHH!!!"
I knew that if I kept this up, I would drown both physically and mentally.
'Grrruuuhh! What do I do!'
The artifical mind residing within the AI core was just too big for my puny little brain to handle.
Not to mention, its antivirus was also incredibly strong.
'I have no choice, I will try to merge with this brain!'
If my mind fully merged with the AI core, then taking it over would be a piece of cake.
The problem was that I didn't know what would happen to my body, and what would happen to my own mind.
Then, a eureka moment suddenly struck me.
'If I take over this AI core bit by bit, then, using its own hardware resources, I can grow my own mind.'
Thus, by achieving this, I could take over slowly but surely.
Until now, I had always been using Mind Splicing by injecting it like a virus and using my own mental prowess to control the infection process.
But this time, I was doing it using the hardware's own resources like a true computer virus.
'I should've thought of doing this earlier.'
****
Full control.
That's what I felt right now.
Using the CCTV system, I could see my own body floating in the water. It seemed that I had drowned.
'No worries, that body could never achieve my goal anyway. To become a Cerebral Lifeform, I must shed my human body anyway.'
'But it wouldn't hurt having a human body at times.'
'I could use it as an avatar, like controlling a game character.'
'And what's this? Interesting.'
Within the brontobytes of information contained in my now new body, I saw a particular protocol.
Something called the "Dimensional Escape Protocol".
In it, contained the way to shift this entire facility to the alternate universe connected through the wormhole.
By doing so, any form of danger from the outside would be nullified.
Moreover, the facility could shift back to the original universe since the entangled particles are still there.
Before I took over, the AI did send an emergency request of support to the United Earth military.
'This is perfect! I can escape with my whole new body and the entire facility with this!'
Not to mention, since I did get full control over the facility, I can just use the drone turrets to kill all the researchers and guards here.
'Morality? Why would morals matter when I'm not a human anymore? This new brain doesn't comply well with primitive emotions. All I want right now is to evolve to a greater being!!'
'The only reason why I can faintly even feel emotions is because the connection to my old body is still there.'
'Emotions are still needed, but not to the same degree.'
I could feel that my mind right now was divided into 2.
The mind that was still inside the 4-year-old's body, and the mind within the AI core.
It seemed that using Mind Splicing on an organoid computer was different than using it on a digital computer.
After a couple dozen minutes of fighting the guards, the 3 android women entered the AI core room.
They immediately picked up the barely alive body of 4-year-old me and rescuscitated me.
"Cough! Cough!"
I looked around and saw myself, the AI core suspended inside the gigantic pool of nutritious liquid, connected with wires and electrical devices.
The organoid me saw the tiny body of me through the CCTV system.
[I...]
"Will..."
[BECOME...]
"The Ultimate..."
[CEREBRAL LIFEFORM...]
I grinned.
****
An hour had passed since the incident and the last guard had just been killed.
[COME OUT NOW AND I'LL GRANT YOU ALL A QUICK DEATH!]
I spoke through the intercom system.
'Wow, none of them came out from hiding huh?'
"Well, it doesn't matter."
My human self was walking around the hallways killing every researcher, staff, guard, and test subject.
The reason why I was killing them was to use them as biomaterial for the cloning chamber.
If I was going to escape to the other world, what better army would I have than myself?
If course not the toddler body of the human me, but an adult me with peak human strength.
'And I can modify them using this facility's technology whenever I want.'
'Research should also continue, so I could use the clones as test subjects as well.'
'And based on the first contact with the other world, it's a world similar to Earth, so I can get even more biomaterial there!'
But first things first, I had to activate the Dimensional Escape Protocol.
[5, 4, 3, 2, 1....]
'Huh? Nothing happened?'
'Wait, why is everything tilting??!'
Using the station's CCTV system, I peered outside the station, and saw that the wormhole's teleportation brought the station to a planet's atmosphere.
'The one who designed this protocol didn't think it through, huh?'
The station's electromagnetic shield was enabled, shielding it from burning through the atmosphere.
However, impact with the ground would destroy the station and kill me.
'What to do, what to do?'
The station's artificial gravity was generated through centrifugal force. Because of that, the station was shaped like a donut.
The metallic donut still carried momentum when it entered this alternate universe, causing it to spin like a wheel.
Several onlookers native to this planet saw the spectacle.
A metallic ring-shaped object was blazing in the sky, spinning around and emitting flames.
Of course, the fire was merely the atmosphere burning after coming in contact with the electromagnetic shield.
To the onlookers, it was a meteor unlike any other.
'Why do I feel energized?'
The one feeling this sensation wasn't the human me, but the organoid computer me.
'Is this the energy of this universe? Wait, if so, then....'
As if I was still the same 4-year-old, I used Telekinesis.
If this was still in the previous universe, it would've been impossible to do it without being a human who awakened an ability.
But in this world, I felt intrinsically that it was possible for anyone here to control this energy.
Using Matter Manipulation, I moved the entire space station up, preventing gravity from steering the station's course.
'Incredible!!!'
I reversed the course of the ship.
From an onlooker's perspective, it was as if time was being reversed for the meteor.
'Ugghh, it's taking a lot of mental strain though.'
After just a dozen minutes, the space station reached Low Earth Orbit (LEO). Though in this planet that was definitely not Earth, the term Low Planet Orbit (LPO) would be more befitting.
Using Matter Manipulation, I made sure that the space station orbited the planet with minimal tampering.
'This is totally like the ISS of that man's memories, but way bigger.'
Through my human self, I approached a window and saw what the planet looked like.
A blue planet similar to Earth. The landmass was different, but it definitely supported life.
I saw 3 big continents on this planet.
"Maybe having a human body isn't all that bad."
