The next morning Kilan found himself strolling aimlessly around the garden, his mind was racing with ways to bring back his grandmother's dagger so he decided to look around the mansion to clear his mind a bit.
After walking for a while, Kilan went back to the mansion and headed towards the butler who was busy polishing an old vase.
Then he saw Kilan coming his way and he greeted him.
"Good morning young master, is there something i can assist you with"
"I want to head to town for a while " kilan answered.
Sir Zenneth raised an eyebrow in suprise.
"To town, young master? Might i ask what you need to do there"
"I just need a change of scenery, maybe visit the town's library or something " kilan answered frankly.
The butler thought a moment before speaking " young master, yesterday was your first time in the town, i cannot let you go alone just wait here and let me call Amelia for you"
"That won't be necessary " Kilan shook his head vehemently " i will like to go alone just for today, please"
The butler studied Kilan's face intently, trying to gauge his intentions. Finally, he relented.
"Very well, young master, but i must insist that you take this with you". He handed Kilan a small discreet earring with a tiny botton on it.
"Press this button if you find yourself in any trouble, i will come for you immediately".
Kilan examined the earring curiously, then nodded solemnly, " i understand , thank you".
'Well that was easy' he thought
As kilan made his way to the front entrance, a sleek black car pulled up infront of the mansion.
Kilan bid farewell to the butler and went into the vehicle.
----------------------------------------------
His first stop was the town's library, a grand old building with towering bookshelves and cozy reading nooks. Kilan spent the rest of the morning lost in the world of literature and frictions.
As afternoon began, Kilan bid farewell to the librarians and left the library. He passed by the little shops and cozy cafes, the smell of freshly brewed coffee wafting through the air.
His stomach grumbled as he spotted a little coffee shop on the corner and made his way inside, the bell above the door tinkling softly as he entered.
The warmth of the cofe enveloped him, and he found himself a table near the window.
A friendly waiter approached him, a warm smile on his face, " good afternoon, sir, what can i get for you today".
Kilan ordered a simple sandwich and a steaming cup of coffee, craving the comfort of a familiar meal. As the waiter left for his order, he gazed around the shop, there were families with young childeren, couples on dates and lone diners like himself. Everyone seemed to be immersed in their own conversation and thoughts, creating a lively buzz inside the shop.
Soon the waiter came back with his order, and he begins to eat his meal while gazing at the busy street through the window .
But then, out of the corner of his eyes, Kilan saw a familiar figure, a young man with messy blonde hair and black eyes stood out of the crowd, it was the same person that was staring at kilan last time, he wore the same oversized blue hoodie.
Kilan watched him as he veered off the main street and disappeared into a dark ally.
He then turned his focus back to his meal and continued, the young man was indeed very strange but Kilan didn't want to be involved in other people's business so he ignored him.
As he was enjoying his meal, he felt a sudden dark energy.
He scanned the room trying to find the source of this sinister presence, then his gaze landed on the same ally where the boy had vanished moments ago.
"Oh no!
Kilan immediately got up and rushed out of the shop , finally, he reached the ally and found it rather dark and quite, the only sound was the distant hum of the town's street.
Kilan cautiously made his way deeper into the ally ready for any suprise attack as he glanced at all sides.
Suddenly he felt something soft beneath his foot, he looked down and saw a familiar figure lying on the ground, Kilan's eyes widened in recognition,
"you again".
The young man lay on the ground, his black eyes staring blankly at the sky.
Kilan quickly knelt down beside him " hey are you alright "
The boy didn't answer nor did he even acknowledge his presence, Kilan scanned his body for any injuries but there was surprisingly none.
'Thank goodness ' Kilan said
'But were was that demonic energy coming from, am sure i felt it around here' as Kilan glanced around, the boy on the ground suddenly lifted his hand and pointed to the sky and said in a lazy tune " there"
Kilan followed the boy's gaze and saw nothing but an empty rooftop.
"What do you mean there-"
Before he could finish his words he felt a sudden trigger and looked back at the place where the boy was pointing at, on top of the building a portal suddenly appeared and two large demonic wolves emerged.

Somwhere on a montain outside the unknown stood a majestic ancient castle covered with white fog.
Inside the ancient palace, a portal suddenly appeared, from within it emerged two figures.
The first one had brown hair and green eyes,
While the other had long black hair and red eyes.
The two men stepped out of the portal, and found themselves standing before a massive ancient door that seemed to dwarf them in size.
"We're finally here " Malakai, said as he reached for his pocket and pulled out a small sliver bell.
With a gentle jingle, he rang the bell, sending vibration through the air that seemed to ripple through the palace itself.
The heavy door rumbled, slowly swinging open to reveal a grand chamber beyond.
Inside they found themselves in a room with a round table at the center with a floating crystal ball and sitting on a chair was a woman whose face was half covered by a shining black veil.
He presence exuded power and mystery as he gazed at her guest.
"Greetings mortals, are you here to make a wish" she spoke in a majestic voice.
Elric and Malakai bowed their heads in respect.
"Its a pleasure to be at your presence again Lady Su" Malakai greeted her.
The woman known as lady Su remained silent, with a wave of her pale hand she conjured two seats for the men in which the obediently took a seat.
She chuckled at their display of humility before turning her attention to Elric.
"What do you have there" Lady Su inquired.
Elric glanced at Malakai who gave him a nod.
Elric pulled out a box and placed it on the table, upon opening the box, a shimmering dagger with dragon scales was revealed.
Then Malakai explained the reason for their visit " lady Su we will like to know who this item belonged to".
Lady Su looked at the dagger in the box and chuckled " hohoho...are you not interested in its origin?"
"No, no" Malakai quickly shook his head " i don't think mere mortals like us could possibly handle its knowledge ".
The woman smiled and nodded " well, thats true" then she picked up the dagger "after all even the owner doesn't know "
"What" both men asked in unison.
Lady Su continued " this item is actually an artefact from the 'second fall'
'The second fall and not the first?, but am familiar with the powers of the 'second fall' Malakai's thoughts raced
'The second fall..' Elric was also deep in thought.
Lady Su seemed to know of their thoughts and nodded " indeed, however, it is tainted with an energy from the 'first fall' that even i myself can't comprehend "
She then looked back at the two men and shook her head " after all, am a being from the 'third fall', i do not know much about the 'second or the first fall' "
"... is the current owner dangerous " Elric who was silent the whole time asked
"Hmm...am not sure either" she said with a smile, " i could only tell that he is more on the alley side".
Handing the dagger back to Elric, lady Su told him " you could make use of it for a while, it certainly has connection with your ability ". Then she looked back at Malakai
" that is all i could say for now"
Malakai nodded and took out a box of gems and handed it to the lady " this is a token of gratitude for you assistant, please accept it"
Then the duo gave her a bow and left.
As they exited the room, the heavy door shut behind them, sealing the mystical chamber once more.
Alone in the room, the woman approached the floating crystal ball, where the figure of Kilan in the ally appeared. She watched him intently, a smile on her lips.
"Kilan Senghore....."
