April 1st, the Entrance Ceremony.
((Alissa's/Yukina's POV))
*BANG*
I banged my head against the metal pole, again. It was the 2nd time I have gotten my head hit today. I rubbed my head, trying to soothe the pain. A bus pulled over and the screem appeared again:
[Goal: Get onto the bus; Reward: 100,000 Private points]
Really? A task this simple for 100k points?
I decided to leave the questioning later and hopped onto the bus, then chose to sit in the seat just right behind Ayanokoji, the MC of the COTE LN. It took me a good 10 seconds to notice that, and I started to have an internal panic attack like any other crazed fan.
'HOLYCOWisthatAyanokojiKiyotakathewhiteroommasterpiecethechessgamegenisitshouldbeillegalformetoevensitbehindhimimfreakingout I'M FREAKING OUTTTTTT AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH'
On the outside, I looked like I was just daydreaming about what food I want to eat for dinner. I was impressed at myself for even managing to conceal the explosion of my excitement.
My eyes scanned around the bus, there was Kushida trying to consult Koenji to give up the seat for the old lady, Ayanokoji in his little mini monolouge, and blah blah blah... I did glance at Horikita, she is indeed beautiful, but she really needs to fix her stuck-up attitude like loosen up a little girl.
*Ding*
[100,000 Private points have been temporarily transferred into your inventory, they will be moved shortly.]
Oh righttt, the System. I did say I had some questions for them.
Alissa's inner monolouge: 'Wait I have a question, how does the system work?'
[The System is here to guide host through the plotline since host's dream is to at least live in Classroom of the Elite, the points will be automatically transferred into the phone after completing quest 'Welcome to Kodo Ikusei Koto Gakko (Advanced Nuturing High school)'. Host will also have a romance plot-]
'WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT... That is not possi-"
[Let System finish, with the MC, Ayanokoji Kiyotaka.]
'...Okay now that's just bullshit, shouldn't Horikita and Ayanokoji have a relationship here? Isn't that how the story's supposed to go?'
[No with a big N.O.]
I stared at the screen, deadpanned, no reaction, looking at it like it was some sore eye, hideous thing. I had vowed for my life that I will always ship Ayano x Horiki and the ship has been sailing successfully at the original novel, but here... it seems like the ship hit an iceberg and sunk into the deepest depths of non-cannon and will never be cannon ocean.
[System is just kidding, host will be able to choose.]
'TELL ME SOONER (censored)!'
Anddd the filter's on... great...
I closed the screen, trying to get myself distracted by looking at the view of cherry blossoms... Just a minute later, I felt someone looking at me. That gaze literally pierced into my soul, I have never been so scared in my entire life... other than the time I had to cook with piping hot oil and it got onto my skin, that's a long time ago. My guess is that I had caught Ayanokoji's attention, and yep I guessed it right.
~Timeskip~
I stretched myself from the stiffness in the bus ride before heading to the ceremony. It's only a few minutes ride for everyone else but me? Feels like eternity.
I walked past both the duo, Horikita Suzune and Ayanokoji. I could hear snippets of their conversation, and thanks to my nosy ass I stopped to listen in. It was the same as in the LN.
"Wait a second. You were looking at me a while ago. Why?"
That's Horiki's.
"And you too." I stiffened in place like a statue.
Lesson learnt: Never look at Horikita on the bus.
"Sorry, I was just a bit interested. Whatever the reason, you didn't have any thoughts of giving up your seat to the old woman right?" Ah yes, the one line from Ayano that sounds natural and unnatural at the same time, like seriously is it just me who finds this scene both complex and funny? I should get therapy.
Horikita gave me a glance so I answered with the first thing that comes to mind:
"What are eyes for then? Besides I was just looking around." ...Okay that's a valid reason/question.
Horikita had just about to rebuke it but decided not to waste her oxygen for the sake of her lungs.
"I didn't want to give up my seat, what's wrong with that?"
The moment Horikita turned her attention to Ayanokoji, I immediatly waddled away to the ceremony like a (censored) penguin. Ayanokoji spotted this strategy and also speed-walked away when Horikita turned her head to look at where I was standing before, only not to find me anywhere.
