…Eh?...F*ck…me?
It felt as though my mind was wandering aimlessly throughout outer space now. Because of that damned Davian, I'm now boiling tea with an occupied head…Men really only think with their lower bodies…
Oh shoot!
I hurriedly turned off the stove after hearing the kettle make a noise. After pouring out the contents of the kettle into a clear teacup, I began to head back up to Davian's office with the cup of freshly brewed tea in my hands.
'You shouldn't rub your *ss on random peoples' d*cks…That was really dangerous back there, don't you agree? I almost gave in the urge to f*ck you.'
Davian's icy, chill voice ran around my head again. Of all the things that I can think about during my first day of work, it had to be my boss's seductive voice!
I'd understand his reaction if I really did rub my *ss on his d*ck, but I didn't! It was only an accidental rub!
That dirty mafia leader is more messed up that I thought…Why did I think he would have at least decent manners in the first place?
He's a mafia boss. He commits crimes for a living. His work is anything but legal. I shouldn't be surprised that he's…testosterone driven…
I bet he has a lot of women swarming over his crotch at night…
"Heh…"
A snickered at my own thoughts.
I can't believe I'm overthinking that event to this extent. I didn't even notice I was already by the door to his room…
I opened the door without prior notice.
Davian was finally fully clothed. He was currently sitting in his chair while scanning two documents, one in the right hand one in the left. I gently placed the teacup in front of him and quickly left his side without saying anything—it's not like I'm obliged to say something to him all the time.
The next job he told me to do was to shred the trivial papers in the shredding machine placed in one corner of his room. The shredding machine was just a few steps beside his table…God damn it.
"Are these all the papers…sir?"
I asked with taking thick pile of paper from his desk.
"Yes. Destroy them."
I nodded in an affirmative manner. It gave me the chills when he said to destroy the papers—I mean he could have just said to shred them!
But as I waited for the shredding machine to turn on, I suddenly had the urge to thoroughly scan the papers in my hand.
I stole a small glance at Davian over my shoulder. Once I affirmed that he's busy, I hurriedly read the papers…
"What the…"
My eyes widened after reading whats printed at the very top of the paper. Isn't this a police report?! Why does he have this?!
"Camille, is there something wrong?"
I suddenly heard Davian's voice call my name. I slowly turned around to face him while clutching the papers in my hand tightly.
"...T-this is a police report?"
I nervously asked.
"Yeah. It's evidence about the crimes of my family…that's why I need to destroy it."
Davian only looked at me with a pure expression, seeming like nothing is out of the ordinary.
"Why do you ask?"
He added.
"Oh…I just thought this might be something important to you…haha…"
I contemplated on whether I should shove the papers into the shredding machine or if I should run away with the papers…But in the end, I still decided to let the papers get shredded to strips.
"It is important…But don't worry. I already made a copy of that stored in the mainframe computer."
My head instantly shot up as soon as I heard him mention the mainframe computer.
There's a copy of such documents in the mainframe computer…No wonder Nate aimed for the computer instead of the original copies. He knew the copies are destroyed once Davian gets his hand on them, but he knows that Davian would also be smart enough to make copies!
"...The mainframe computer?"
I accidentally blurted out while thinking.
"…You seem interested in it…"
Davian's face turned casual again.
"...Well…I am! There were rumors in the underworld that the mainframe computer of the Lucian family is as powerful as a supercomputer!"
I stated with excitement, but under that displayed excitement is a desperate soul that just wants her allibi to be accepted.
"...It's not as powerful as a supercomputer, but I guess it can come close…"
Davian stated with a light chuckle at the end.
I'm glad he's buying it.
I would have no interest in that specific mainframe computer if Nate didn't force me to get hired as this guy's secretary…
"Is that so…Getting your hands on a supercomputer is very rare, you know? I never even seen a supercomputer up close..."
I hummed with obvious interest.
"Is it really that rare? I can just buy it from the black market any day I want…"
Damned rich people.
I wasn't kidding when I said only a few people can get a chance to even look at a supercomputer up close. He didn't have to remind me that I'm only an average citizen compared to him.
"Well…I guess you can just visit your mainframe computer any day huh?"
Just take me to your mainframe computer, god damn it.
"If you're so eager, maybe one day you'll be the one to run my errands with the mainframe computer…"
Run his errands with the mainframe computer?
I'll have the chance to access the mainframe computer?!
"Really?!"
I suddenly bursted out of excitement—excitement of finally finishing this mission and running back to Nate who's holding my thirty million dollars…
"Really,"
Davian answered.
I was about to burst from happiness again when he suddenly spoke again.
"When you gain my trust."
The bright smile that was plastered on my face quickly vanished into thin air. I knew it wouldn't be that easy. I shouldn't have expected him to be that naive.
"Of course!"
I answered as happily as I could.
"Oh, and Camille. I might have to make you stay here overnight."
