I was dragged into a large room, my hands bound tightly behind my back. A man held me by the shoulder, forcing me forward as I stumbled along, trying to keep my balance. My heart raced as I glanced around, taking in the dim light and the shadowy corners of the room.
In the center sat a figure shrouded in darkness, draped in a black cloth that concealed everything about him-his body, his hands, even his face. I strained to see him, desperate to catch a glimpse of the man who had the power to decide my fate.
