"Where am I?" I called out, my voice echoing in the darkness, swallowed by the void surrounding me.
I looked around, panic bubbling within me as I floated aimlessly. What happened? Where is Kairan? Ancillin? Did I lose Kairan again? My heart raced at the thought.
Desperately, I twisted and turned, searching for any sign of an exit, any hint of light in this oppressive darkness. Memories flickered in my mind; we had been walking, our footsteps echoing in the corridor, and then we'd opened a door.
