My morning is relatively normal as it was before, I woke up, showered and then went to the kitchen with my coffee and breakfast ready, marriage life sure are great right now. Until I realized that it is no longer me and Natasha in the house, but Selene and Scarlett were here as well, and I am currently basically half naked. Then when I think about it, both of them were my wives as well, so I supposed I can just act like this is normal. In silence, our breakfast dines started, and from the edge of my eyes, I can clearly see the 2 of them were clearly holding themselves back from asking a lot of questions.
"Alright… now, what is it?".
"You really aren't stingy when it comes to compliments, Huh…". (Scarlet)
"Hmm? …why should I? …compliments are free and easy to give…. Besides, aren't doing so are much better for everyone… being happy is always great…".
Selene and Scarlett were laughing that my reactions are rather warmer towards them. Also, for some reason the topic they choose to start our conversation is rather odd to me, then again, I guess positivity in this world is quite rare probably.
"You know… men usually never talked like you do, you know… they tend to be bossier…". (Scarlett)
"You might want to be careful about how you do, Darling…the world…it is quite… savage….". (Selene)
Now this is just too early for me to hear this sort of talks, especially when we just sat down to eat.
"I know my style or rather my outlook on this world… is quite…how do I say this… unique? …yeah, that's the word… but, I am proud of it… and personally… I think that what made me different from the rest of this world… one might think that I am odd and weird… but I don't really care how people looked at me and think about me…".
I know that I am quite unique in this world, whether it was my ability or how I looked through this world logics; to be really honest this sort of conversation really isn't supposed to be talked in breakfast time. But at the same time, these 2 looked at me like I am just weird and naïve to this world customs, and that sort of looks, especially in the morning like this didn't sit well with me.
"Also… stopped looking at me like I am a kid or some uneducated man… I know how this world works very well… it's just that I refused to follow the customs… I can be kind to those that deserved it…. But I also can be the epitome of evil should I choose to…".
I don't like to be annoyed too early in the day, and when I do get annoyed, it was better to just let them out as fast as I could, I don't want to bottle up anymore negativity, new life, new rules, I guess. Natasha stayed silent the entire time, as Selene and Scarlett looked at each other and decided to let the vibes simmers a little bit. I knew that they meant well, but I don't particularly like to be looked down to many times at every single look of their eyes.
"… I'm Sorry, Azra… that is very presumptuous of me to just spin my own thought about you…". (Scarlett)
"I guess this world were so messed up that when someone actually nice comes… everyone just decided to mess with him and suspected him of all sort of bullshit then…".
"Honey…". (Natasha)
"Look… let's make this simple… I don't like annoying things… especially in the morning…. Just… remember that… alright… saved that sort of stuff later in the day… it's not like I cannot see that the 2 of you have been judging me since the day one we meet, if you got anything to say or asked me just keep it down for a little bit… so for now, let's just drop this stuffy stuff for now… and let us just eat in peace….".
Natasha tried to stopped me, but I don't want to, shit that needs to be said, needs to be said out loud and clear, so that this sort of thing did not happen anymore. Get it out of the way for more productive things to be had, plain and simple. Did that ruin the morning vibes, yes, it is, but at least now, this kind of things is already out of the way, for all of us. Fortunately, Selene and Scarlett got the hint, so both of them stayed silence the entire breakfast time, as for me, I am annoyed right now so, I had to calm myself down, so I gobble down my scramble eggs and take my coffee with me, I got fully dressed in my bedroom and then left for the Center Room.
"[I can see that what happened just now…. Is a rather rocky start to both of the Madams…]". (Alfred)
As I got into the Center room, Alfred was already there, with heaps of cardboard boxes, all already opened and ready.
"I don't like to be treated like a mindless child or be seen as one so many time… both of them need to drop that shit fast… so by saying that sort of stuff… that should do it…".
"[Isn't it a little bit too harsh?]". (Alfred)
"It was, but it was necessary… things had to progressed faster that we currently are doing… we don't have the sort of time to just let this sort of negativity brewing too long…only for it to blown up into a much bigger mess…".
I am checking Layla current situation, and from her vitals on the screens, it seems that she was on the last leg of completing her recovery and system restore.
"[I see…. By the way, the Madams didn't really take what happened to their heart, they knew that you are a bit cranky in the morning…. And both Madam Selene and Scarlett are part guilty of it, for testing how cranky you were in the morning and testing if you would throw arm around… and also, they wanted to gauge whether you are a subject that the people of the wasteland can manipulate easily…]". (Alfred)
"People in this world really loved their test… so, how about you… do you think that I am THAT gullible?".
"[Personally… no and yes… you are perceptive and also cunning enough to survive in this world, and you might even become a big shot in this world… but at the same time, the kind aspect of your personality and traits, can be a spot that anyone can manipulate…. But personally… to trick you and manipulate you is quite hard to do… not impossible… but the possibility was there…]". (Alfred)
I am not going to deny that, my sort logic in this world is rare and that can surely be used against me. But I know about this matter, and I am very careful about it at all time, that is why, even after Selene and Scarlett had joined us and stayed with us right now, I am still very careful about what I am saying around them.
"I know that… that is why I am surrounding myself around those that knew about this world…and slowly learning from their perspective…".
"[I know, Master… the 2 just choose a bad time to test you that way…]". (Alfred)
"Yeah…".
Let's just say, I am not a morning person in my previous life, but in this life, that crankiness seemed to be uplifts by miles high, the old me seemed to just a brute in the morning, and somehow his mood and habits still sticks on me. I tried to crammed it down by a lot, but the 2 just had to let that bruteness slips out a little bit, with their pointless test. To change my mood as quick as I can, it is best for me to distract myself a little bit, I am waiting for Layla to finish her system restart, just so I can see how would she reverted her current damaged self, into a full restoration.
