Since today our family had received 3 more guests, although one is non-human, nevertheless our family had become bigger than it was before, so Natasha who excited and happy due to this development, decided to cooked a big dinner for the entire family, according to her, she started cooking after she finishes her shower, Selene also helped her as well, all this was happened when I am treating Scarlett. Which showed her resilience by joining us at the dinner table, despite having patches and bandages all of over her body.
"Oh~ did you finally learned how to cook chicken curry, Nat?".
"Yeah, I cooked it just how you like them, honey…". (Natasha)
"Hahaha… it's smells great…".
Seated at the head of the dinner table, Natasha served me her Chicken curry, I've taught her the recipe myself, it was a recipe from my late mother cook book. Smelling the nostalgic tasty smells, just put my mood in a great mode. On the other hand, Scarlett, were looking quite stunned as she laid her eyes, on various dishes on the table. There's rice, curry, steaks a lot of foods, and naturally all of them look and also smells great as well.
"Um… Natasha…. Aren't this a little bit too much?". (Scarlett)
"Hmm? …Not really, there is 4 of us now… this much of food, is sufficient enough for all of us…". (Natasha)
Natasha said as a matter of fact, saying it as it was normal. Which brings a smile to Selene face.
"Some of the food here, like that rice over there… is a leftover from their lunch, she just reheated them… apparently, to Her and Azra, this is quite normal…". (Selene)
"Really? …wow… Oh. My. God…. Selene, all of them were top class ingredients… look…". (Scarlett)
Scarlett exclaimed as she looked down carefully on her plate of food, just from the visuals and the smells of the food before her she instantly knows that everything that were on these dinner table, were all fresh and high-quality food.
"I know, right?". (Selene)
Selene smiled, defeated by this household logics, that seemingly did not follow the norm of the current state of the world. Selene remembered just a few moments ago, when she was helping Natasha preparing and cooking this dinner, she was shocked and astound, when Natasha pulled out all sort of foods from the fried, and then as she cooked, she uses high-quality condiments, and she even uses them generously.
"It almost does not register to me when I were helping her do the cooking and prepping… only by seeing it firsthand that I know, just how lavish this home are…". (Selene)
"Yeah… and you both eat like this…the whole time?". (Scarlett)
"Not always…". (Natasha)
Natasha pulling her chair and sat down, understand how Selene and Scarlett were bewildered by this simple show of today dinner, gently she explained how everything had come to this, the 2 understand that before, they were kicked out, they both also lived like anybody else, scraping foods daily like the rest of the world. Only after, Azra had changed and they finally lived here, that their lifestyle had changed for the better.
"Our Honey over here, said that from now on, he would be providing for our family… and since then, he had done all that he had promised me…". (Natasha)
Natasha holds my hand and smiled as proud as she can be.
"It was only prudent and right for me to do what I have promised… my family will always get to eat the good and healthy foods… this much I can achieve…".
Serving her a smile and holding her hand tights, I speak my mind. I supposed we need to officiate our family relationship, now, since everything had settled down.
"Anyway… Selene… I am glad, that you have decided to become, my Second wife… although the road that leads to our marriage is rather unusual, but since you have chosen me to be your husband and be a part of this family… let us both worked together to get to know each other's more… as you can see… I am a bit of an oddball, but I promised to work hard to make you comfortable and happy beside me... Selene my wife, welcome to the family…".
I pointed at the chair to my left, which are now a seat belonged to her, Natasha was on my right, a place she had staked and claimed as hers.
I opened my hand and Selene knew to hold my hand at the cue.
"Thank you, Darling… I am delighted and blessed to be your wife and a part of this loving family… as you would do your best for me, I would do the same to you as well…". (Selene)
Selene face was reddened and she shed tears of joy, as she embraced my hand. With this my relationship with her had become official, although there was no grand ceremony, at least our little talks made up in sincerity.
"And Scarlett… I am sure that by now, Selene and Natasha had already told you what is going on right?".
Selene got up from her seat, and she then put Scarlett on the seat next to me, as it was time for me and her to have a real talk.
"Yes, they did…". (Scarlett)
"And your decision?".
"…. I am willing and agreed to become your third wife…". (Scarlett)
Scarlett bravely and decisively, grabbed my hand, as she made her decision. She looked at me straight in the eyes as she said it, openly showing her sincerity and honesty to me. By all means, only her part of the decision, seems rather forced, Selene and Natasha had arranged it to be so, but at this moment, since I gave her the power to decided everything, the decision is in her hands, and she willingly chose to be a part of this family.
"…I know, I am a tainted woman… and…and, I don't know if I had the right to asked for the same treatment as Selene or Natasha… but, if you can't cherish me as you do to them… by all means… just…. just let me stay with you all…". (Scarlett)
Tears comes rolling down her cheeks as she tried to articulate her words, slowly and carefully, each words felt as if it was stuck to her throat, but she steeled herself and force each word to come out by her sheer will.
"Don't call yourself, tainted, Scarlett… everything that happened in the past…should just remained in the past… to be really honest, marrying 2 wives at once, while already being married…to me is a new thing that I barely know if I could it right…Hahaha.".
Wiping the tears off her face, I tried to lighten the mood a little bit with a laugh, which falls flat as everyone just smiled awkwardly at me.
"Like I promised Selene before… all this were just too sudden for all of us… so let us all start slowly, get to know each other closely on our very own time… since we are all family, now…we will stay together for a long time, Scarlett….".
"Y... yeah…thank you, Azra…". (Scarlett)
Scarlett was touched and happy right now, I can see the eagerness in her, her depressive thoughts seem to lighten up a little bit by the glow of her eyes. But all of us can see that Scarlett were a little bit awkward at the moment when she was with me, which is to be expected, after all, she needs more time to adjust and I as well as Selene and Natasha were willing to give her that space.
"Anyway~ that's enough talking for today…. Everyone digs in~".
