Three days passed quickly.

During this time, every media outlet, from major news networks to late-night talk shows, was obsessed with one topic—Homelander being taken to court.

Every corner of the internet buzzed with the news, making it the most searched topic for three days straight, leaving anything else miles behind.

Today was the day—the Supreme Court hearing was scheduled for 1:00 p.m., and Homelander was required to appear by then.

However, by morning, the plaza outside the courthouse was already packed with people, forcing the NYPD to dispatch half its force to maintain order.

The crowd came prepared with banners.

"Homelander, you're my hero! I'll support you forever!"

"Don't let me down, Homelander!"

"Homelander, I love you!"

"Wake up, fools! Homelander is a demon!"

"Burn the heretic! Homelander must be destroyed!"

A chaotic mix of support and hate filled the square. Someone even set a Homelander effigy on fire, only to be quickly arrested by police.

Today, not just New York, but the entire nation, had its eyes locked on the Supreme Court.

And yet, by 12:30 p.m., Homelander was still nowhere to be seen.

---

Seven Tower

Ashley shrieked in frustration, throwing her phone onto the couch as she clawed at her hair in despair.

"How am I supposed to know where he is?! I'm not his damn babysitter!"

"This is just a job! You can't keep calling me!"

From the moment she'd arrived that morning, Ashley's phone had been blowing up—journalists, influencers, executives, everyone demanding to know whether Homelander would attend the hearing.

But since early morning, there had been no sign of him. His phone was left behind in the Tower, and he had vanished without a trace.

Adding to her misery, Edgar had just issued an ultimatum: "Find Homelander and make sure he attends the hearing, or we'll sue you for breach of contract." If things went south, Ashley could even face crippling fines.

Her hair began falling out from the stress as she wailed, "God, please, just let him show up!"

---

At that very moment, Homelander sneezed.

He wiped his nose and looked down at the landscape beneath him—the Barka Highlands.

After breakfast, Homelander had flown halfway across the globe to this remote region in western Jordan.

Annika had told him that the two high-level criminals released by the Night Council had originated from here, from a place hidden deep within these highlands—a town called Oster.

Homelander wasn't in the mood for games. If the Night Council wanted to play "kill one, send another," he'd put an end to it for good.

He wasn't planning to attend the Supreme Court hearing, either. What a joke. A bunch of bureaucrats thought they had the authority to judge him?

If they wanted to fight, they could meet him on the battlefield.

Of course, Homelander wasn't a warmonger. He preferred enjoying life's finer pleasures and would avoid conflict unless absolutely necessary. But if push came to shove, he wouldn't hesitate.

Hovering over the barren landscape, his sharp gaze quickly found the abandoned town of Oster.

A second later, he was already there.

---

The town was desolate.

Cracked buildings stood like monuments to time, their ruins overgrown with grass and wildflowers. A chilling wind swept through the empty streets, carrying the silence of death.

Scanning the area with his enhanced senses, Homelander detected no human presence—only animals.

This place had been abandoned long ago.

"If this is where the Night Council originated, there must be something left behind."

He floated into the air, activating his scanning ability. His vision pierced through soil and stone, even scanning underground.

Moments later, something caught his attention—an underground structure at the base of a nearby mountain.

It was a shadow, not a clear image, suggesting the presence of zinc, one of the few elements that could interfere with his scanning ability.

But despite the interference, the outline was unmistakable—it looked like a pyramid.

"A pyramid? Out here? Those Egyptians really got around," Homelander muttered with amusement.

He descended to the base of the mountain and unleashed his heat vision. Twin beams of molten gold sliced through the earth, incinerating grass and soil, carving a path straight into the ground.

The heat cut a tunnel 2,000 feet deep, leading into an underground chamber.

The space was vast, smooth, and clearly man-made. Darkness had ruled this place for centuries—until now.

The glow of Homelander's heat vision pierced the shadows, illuminating a massive pyramid buried beneath the earth.

Scanning deeper, he realized the visible tip of the pyramid was just the beginning. Most of the structure lay buried underground, forming a labyrinth of colossal proportions.

Homelander narrowed his eyes as theories swirled in his mind.

"Could the Night Council be connected to this pyramid?"

As he scanned further, he detected life signs within the pyramid.

The creatures resembled humans in size and shape, but their body temperatures were far beyond normal human levels.

In the pyramid's lowest chamber, Homelander discovered something even more intriguing—a blind spot.

Something in the center of the room, likely made of zinc, blocked his vision.

His lips curled into a smile. "A little archaeology, huh?"

Just as he prepared to investigate, a distant explosion echoed from within the pyramid.

Bright lights flickered below, and voices followed.

Homelander shot down to the pyramid's tip and perched on its apex, listening carefully.

"We broke through!"

"Finally! It took us three months, but we did it!"

"Look at this! Just like the professor said—the ground is perfectly smooth. Definitely man-made."

"We've hit the jackpot this time!"

Homelander scanned the area and confirmed his suspicions—a group of archaeologists had arrived.

There were about seven or eight men unloading equipment and setting up instruments, buzzing with excitement as they began their measurements.

Homelander watched them, a curious glint in his eyes.

"Looks like this little adventure just got a lot more interesting."
