James Brown was buying groceries when Gina Lopez was lying on the couch with her eyes closed, sound asleep.
Luckily, when James brought Gina home earlier, he had taken her house keys just in case; otherwise, knocking on the door would have woken her up.
After putting away the groceries in the kitchen, he took a blanket and gently covered Gina, then gave her another look. Even in sleep, her brow was furrowed, clearly troubled by some vexing issue.
James shook his head. Being too ambitious wasn't really a good thing for a woman; it just made life too exhausting. On this point, his view coincided with that of Emily Lopez.
Lately, Gina hadn't mentioned Emily, seeming to no longer harbor any suspicions, but having not chatted with her for a while, James suddenly found himself missing Emily.
