"Emma, you're a good girl, and I'm sure you'll find a husband who truly loves you," James Brown tried to console Emma Campbell in the gentlest tone possible.
Emma's eyes instantly showed a profound sense of loss, but she then smiled brightly and said, "Big Brother Brown, I understand. I won't be a burden to you."
James Brown gently ruffled Emma's hair and said softly, "It's not that you're not good, Lemon, it's just that your Big Brother Brown really isn't suited for marriage and settling down."
Emma leaned compliantly against James's chest and whispered, "Big Brother Brown, I just want to come over and help you with things occasionally, can you please not refuse me?"
"You're already here in my house, aren't you? Otherwise, I'd have to send you away," James patted Emma on the shoulder.
"I knew Big Brother Brown was the best," Emma looked up and gave James a sweet smile.
