"Why couldn't I? Chief Smith, you're also calling me in the dead of night, aren't you?" James responded flippantly.
Sunny was choked up by James's words, immediately replying angrily, "You jerk, how dare you say that? What was with you today?"
"What about today?" James had a look of confusion on his face.
"Playing dumb, are you? What did you do to me in the elevator today? You jerk, hoodlum, that was so shameful and indecent."
James chuckled, "I say, Chief Smith, you can't blame me for that. When the elevator was as packed as a dumpling, I couldn't help but stick close to you, could I?"
