Whisky's childhood was marked by a strong bond with his two closest friends, Kacey and Linda. The trio shared countless memories from age nine onward.
At the tender age of thirteen, Whisky's life was forever altered when his father tragically passed away, consumed by a devastating inferno that left nothing but ashes in its wake. Consumed by guilt and self-doubt, Whisky couldn't shake the feeling that he was responsible for his father's untimely demise. Fortunately, he had Kacey and Linda by his side, offering comfort and support during his darkest moments.
In the aftermath of the tragedy, Whisky and his mother relocated to a flat in the city while their house was being rebuilt. Once the reconstruction was complete, they returned to their old neighborhood, attempting to reestablish a sense of normalcy in their lives.
As they entered adolescence, Whisky and Linda developed romantic feelings for each other. At fourteen, they confessed their love, but their shy nature led to an awkward week-long silence which Kacey felt weird but they never told him about their honey moon. Eventually, they mutually decided to part ways, realizing their relationship wasn't meant to be.
Kacey, oblivious to the brief romance, was perplexed by the sudden distance between Whisky and Linda. When the truth finally came out, Kacey couldn't help but find the situation amusing.
As Whisky stepped into the bustling halls of high school, his life was poised for a dramatic transformation. It was there, amidst the whirlwind of new faces and experiences, that he first laid eyes on her - Sarah, a vision of serenity with piercing blue eyes that sparkled like sapphires, and raven-black hair that cascaded effortlessly onto her shoulders. Her calm demeanor drew him in, and Whisky was immediately captivated by the enigmatic girl who would forever change the course of his life.
Noticing Whisky's infatuation, Linda devised a plan to play matchmaker. She made a conscious effort to befriend Sarah, hoping to bridge the gap between Whisky and his crush.
However, Linda soon discovered that Sarah was a introverted and independent individual who preferred solitude to socializing. Despite this, Linda persisted in her attempts to bring Whisky and Sarah together.
As Sarah got to know Linda better, she discovered that Linda's intentions were genuine. The two girls formed a strong bond, becoming close friends.
Linda, still eager to play matchmaker, continued to try to bring Sarah and Whisky together. Despite her efforts, Whisky remained too shy to confess his feelings to Sarah, leaving their relationship in a state of unrequited love.
Kacey's attention was irresistibly drawn to Crystal, a stunning girl whose bright smile was framed by adorable dimples. Her piercing black eyes sparkled with warmth, captivating Kacey's heart. But, to his dismay, he soon discovered that Crystal was already spoken for - she was Travis's girlfriend, and seemingly out of reach.

[Back to the Game]
Just then, a faint voice whispered, "Whisky." He lifted his head, his eyes locking onto the speaker. It was Sarah, her expression a mix of relief and concern.
Whisky's thoughts swirled, "What? Did she..saw.?" as he struggled to process the surreal scene unfolding before him.
Whisky stood up, realizing he had landed on Linda on a bed. Before he could process what was happening, Sarah rushed over and hugged him tightly.
"I was so scared in here, alone," Sarah said, her voice filled with relief. "I'm glad to see you."
Whisky was taken aback by the sudden display of affection, but his hands instinctively wrapped around Sarah's waist. He breathed deeply, taking in the sweet scent of her hair. "Damn, she smells good. Am l in heaven?" he thought.
As Sarah released the hug, she let out a high-pitched shriek of delight. "Linda!"
The two girls hugged each other tightly, tears of joy in their eyes. "Oh, Sarah, I thought you were dead," Linda said.
Whisky scanned the room, taking in its compact size. The energy-saving LED light overhead cast a dim glow. He glanced up at the spot where he had fallen from, noticing a single bed built into the wall. Ahead of him, a tunnel-like path stretched out, illuminated by a series of energy bulbs.
Linda turned to Sarah. "What happened to you when you fell?"
Sarah shook her head. "I landed on a bed, just like you two, but it was in a different part of this place, meters away from here."
Whisky's eyes narrowed. "What is this place?"
Sarah's expression turned thoughtful. "I think it's a maze game. I've seen paths that lead nowhere, blocked off, while others remain open."
"Ding Dong, you're right!" the intercom boomed. "This is a maze, and you must escape within the desired time. Let's get going."
"How are we supposed to freaking get out of here?" Linda asked, frustration etched on her face.
"Yeah, it like we have a map," Whisky said.
The intercom crackled again. "Ooh, I'm sorry. I've got a clue for you: 'Beneath the slumbering spot, navigator's friend is caught'."
Sarah's eyes narrowed in thought. "Beneath the slumbering spot... ha."
Whisky thought rubbing his chin"Slumbering spot? I usually slumber on the lawns with Kacey, sometimes with Linda too. But that's not it; there's no grass in here."
Whisky turned to Sarah and Linda. "Where do you usually slumber?" he asked.
Linda hesitated before responding. "I usually rest on the sofa and sometimes on the lawn with... my little brother."
Whisky knew Linda had almost mentioned Kacey and him, and he caught the awkward glance between Linda and Sarah.
Linda turned to Sarah. "What about you, Sarah? Where do you usually slumber?"
Sarah smiled. "Where most people do... on the bed."
Whisky's eyes lit up with excitement. "Yah, it's the bed! It's the damn bed!" He had remembered the bed from earlier.
"It's beneath the bed," Whisky exclaimed.
Linda quickly knelt down and peered under the bed. She spotted something circular and reached for it. Her hand closed around the object, and she stood up, bringing it into the light.
Sarah's curiosity got the better of her. "What is it?" she asked.
Linda examined the object before responding. "It's... a compass."
Whisky raised an eyebrow. "A compass? What's that for?"
The intercom crackled to life, its tone playful. "That was an easy peezy clue. I don't know why you were thinking too much, Whisky."
Whisky couldn't help but agree. He had overthought the clue.
The intercom continued, "Here's another clue: 'Where warmth awaits, escape is found.' This is the game of Maze; get out of it before time runs out."
As the intercom fell silent, a beep sounded from behind the compass. Linda turned it over, revealing a countdown timer: 34:56... 34:55. The game had officially begun.
