Today is the seventh day of the week: lev. Luckily, there's no class today, so I can spend it resting. However, every morning without fail, we go to the Interra Basilica.
I'm in my room, feeling somewhat desperate. It still feels uncomfortable for me when Fayna changes me. To make matters worse, a whiny voice echoes in my head.
{I don't want to go to the sanctus conventus! It's boring!}
The sanctus conventus is just a gathering of all the believers of the Holy Church of Deus in their religious temples. Knowing this, I think I know how things are going to turn out for Hana.
After Fayna finishes changing me, I find myself in a beautiful white dress.
We head toward the mansion's main door. Fayna and I are the last to arrive. As we step outside, I see Leonard, Hana's siblings, and Stella, all dressed in white.
[You're right, Hana, tell your grandma you don't want to go.]
"Grandma, I don't want to go to the sanctus conventus, it's boring," Hana says as she tugs on Stella's dress.
I love it when she obeys me without thinking.
Everyone around us stares at me in surprise. Stella narrows her eyes and speaks firmly:
"Hana, I don't want to hear you say that again."
"But…"
"No buts, young lady. You need to learn to be grateful to Deus, understood?"
The ungrateful one is Hana. I'm grateful for the second chance she gave me, even if it was in another world…
"I'm really sorry."
{Grandma got mad at me…}
[That's what I saw, it really surprised me.]
That was so much fun! I should do it more often.
After the scolding, we head to the Interra Basilica. Overall, these mornings are boring. The trip to the city is simple, and the gathering of the faithful is tedious and frustrating.
While all that's happening, I'll take the opportunity to summarize the conclusions I've reached during these three years of observation and exploration.
The concept of time here is the same as in my old world, and it's even common to see clocks with hands in many places.
The week is divided into seven days: tef, hes, tell, dian, quet, haya, and lev, each with twenty-four hours. The months are also divided into twelve: humilitas, generisitas, castitas, patientia, temperancia, caritas, diligentia, deus, temperantia, prudentia, fortis, and iustitia.
Each month has the same number of days I know, so a year lasts three hundred and sixty-five days. Lastly, we are currently in the year five hundred and three of the era pacis.
The environment also feels familiar. I'm sure the climate is temperate, leaning toward cold. Although I'm not sure if there are seasons, I'd bet they're the same as in my world. The first six months are warm without being excessive, and then the weather becomes progressively colder for the rest of the year.
As for the places I've been to, I've only been to the city of Interra. Leonard mentioned that not far from here is a city called Aurum. From there, he brought Fayna a beautiful heart-shaped necklace, with stones that resemble rubies and diamonds.
The technology here is similar to the 19th or 20th century. The necklace Leonard gave Fayna is a good example. The craftsmanship is very precise, which suggests that there must be advanced machinery to extract those precious stones.
However, I'm surprised they haven't discovered electricity. Maybe thanks to magic, they don't need it. It's easier to use magic to light up a room than to install an electrical system.
Still, they have great knowledge of printing. The books in the learning hall seem to be copies, and there are posters and announcements all over the city of Interra. Since I haven't learned to read yet, I don't know what they say.
Finally, education. I asked Hana's siblings at what age they started their lessons, and they all agreed that they began at the age of three, the same age I was when I started.
I don't know if schools exist, since I've only had private lessons with maids who also double as teachers. During my first two weeks, I had three subjects: dance, singing, and etiquette, with the maids Sophie, Emma, and María as teachers, in that order.
At the start of the third week, they added basic arithmetic with Antony and Linguadei with María. Both sessions are after lunch. The lessons last one hour, with fifty-five minutes of work and five minutes of break, adding up to a total of five hours a day.
This has considerably reduced my free time. Damn it! If it weren't for the fast progress Hana and I are making, I'd have more time for myself. From now on, I need to think more carefully about the consequences of my actions.

It's tef in the morning, I've just finished my etiquette class, and I have a little time before lunch.
What should I do? Let Hana play, or discover something new?
My thoughts are interrupted by Fayna's sweet voice.
"Hana, I've been thinking about it for a while, and I want to add another class for you."
{I don't want to study anymore!}
[I don't want to either!]
Fayna, noticing my lack of reaction, continues:
"Even though you're still very young, I'm sure you'll learn magic at the same speed I did." She smiles with pride.
"I do want that class, Mommy!" I jump up, full of excitement.
"I'm glad you like it; for a moment, I thought you wouldn't be interested."
{I'm not interested.}
[You are interested!]
"Then, after your etiquette class, you'll take this new subject along with your sisters, understood?"
"Yeah, Mommy!"
I can't deny that I'm happy. I love learning new things, and magic will be really useful for achieving my goals. You never know when strength will be needed.
