Savra and Magnus were still shocked after hearing what Lucius said. They were trying to process what Lucius just said about his method and the one they knew of.
Savra then immediately asked Lucius about his method: "But don't you need to check the materials and assess the beast first? To ensure it evolves perfectly."
Lucius, who heard what Savra had just said, was confused. "Perfectly evolved? What the hell does that even mean? And why on earth would I waste time checking materials and beasts for something as absurd as perfect evolution?"
Magnus frowned after hearing it and immediately asked, "What do you mean by that? Are you saying there's no such thing as a perfect evolution?"
Lucius could only sighed as he explained about it: "There is no such thing as a perfect evolution. That's just a myth, an illusion. What actually exists are two types of evolutions: strong and weak. That's it."
Savra, who heard it, could only be confused by what Lucius had just said and asked again, "Weak evolution? What do you mean by that?"
Lucius then sighed as he began to explain it: "Weak evolution is exactly what it sounds like. Sure, the beast evolves, but the result is mediocre."
Lucius then continued to explain it more about its strengths. "It'll be stronger than it was before, but it won't stand a chance against other beasts that are at the same level as it."
Magnus, who was still confused, was frowning as his knowledge was now being overturned and asked again, "So, what's a proper evolution, according to you, then if you say that the Evolist evolution method is the weak one?
Lucius only smirked after being asked and explained, "A strong evolution is one that maximizes the beast's potential. It's not about following some safe recipe or taking forever to prepare."
Lucius then explained the point: "It's about creativity, risk, and knowing how to push the limits. The phrase 'no pain, no gain' exists for a reason."
Savra, who was now curious about this new knowledge, asked Lucius, "Are you implying that the methods of every Evolist we've encountered are flawed?"
Lucius nodded without hesitation. "Exactly. Those so-called Evolists you've worked with? They're cowards. They take the safe route, sticking to weak evolutions because they're too afraid of the consequences of failure."
Lucius then immediately continued to mock the Evolists: "They waste time checking every little thing like materials, beast compatibility, whatever, so they can pretend they've done something impressive when, in reality, they've just played it safe."
Magnus, who heard it, was immediately shocked and a bit angry. "Cowards? Do you even understand the risks of evolution? If something goes wrong, it could cost the beast's life or worse!"
Lucius only smirked after hearing it: "Of course, I understand the risks. But that's precisely why evolution should be bold. No risk, no reward. If you want a beast to be truly powerful, you can't tiptoe around the process."
Lucius then smirked as he mocked Magnus again, "But if you want to take the easy way and make your beast weak, then please treat yourself."
Savra, who heard what Lucius said, chuckled as she was pretty amused. "You are quite brave, Lucius. Mocking Evolists' method that had been around for years."
Lucius, who heard it, only smirked, "I'm just stating facts. If they're offended, maybe they should reconsider their methods."
Magnus was now glaring at Lucius, but Savra stopped Magnus and immediately told him, "Magnus, what he says is really reasonable but still we don't know if it is true or not."
Savra then turned to Lucius and said, "Like what I said before, your method is reasonable after you talked about it but still, we don't know if it's really true without proof, so how about we checked the beast you evolved just now?"
Lucius smirked as he pointed at the Lava Tortoise, "Go ahead. Take a look at the 3-Star Lava Tortoise I evolved from your Lava Turtle. It is not the best but still better than those weak evolutions you call 'perfect' can produce."
Savra, who heard it immediately nodded, "Very well, let's do that." Savra then immediately took out something that looked like a phone but had some runic carving.
Lucius, who just saw it for the first time, was interested because of its appearance. "What is that thing that you are currently holding?"
Savra, who heard what Lucius said, was a bit surprised seeing that Lucius didn't know this: "Don't you know about this? This is a Beast Scanner, and it is an important tool for Evolists."
Lucius, who heard it, was a bit confused as he asked again, "A beast scanner?" What is it's function that makes it so important to Evolists?"
Savra then immediately explained, "It's function is to analyze beasts. It provides detailed data of a beast, like stats, level and element. It's an essential tool for any Evolist."
Lucius, who heard it, was interested. "I see. To think that something like this existed that made us able to scan a beast. It is interesting."
Savra then smirked as she said, "Of course, this is interesting as its price is also very expensive. Now let's use it to check the Lava Tortoise."
Savra then immediately walked toward the Lava Tortoise. She immediately scanned it by using the device and soon a light appeared from it and envelopped the Lava Tortoise.
After a minute, the light soon disappeared from the Lava Tortoise's body and its data soon appeared in the beast scanner for them to see.
[Species: Lava Tortoise]
[Element: None]
[Level: 3 Star]
[Stats:]
[Str: D (3★)]
[Vit: D (3★)]
[Agi: D (3★)]
[Int: D (3★)]
Savra and Magnus were now shocked to see the data of the Lava Tortoise that had appeared on the screen. All the stats of the Lava Tortoise were all marked with a "D".
Magnus was the one who immediately shouted after he saw the stats, "What the hell is this? How can all of it be D-Tier?"
Lucius, who was still eating his meat skewer, was frowning. "What's the problem?" he asked as he was confused by Magnus's loud voice.
