This world was the world of beast tamers and the stronger the talent awakened by the tamer, the stronger his beasts will be in later stages.
The reason why Lucius made his body to be talentless was because of this very reason. He wanted his new body to have the strongest talent.
The system could hack a person's talent and upgrade it but for some reasons, the people that already had talents could only upgrade it by one level and that was it.
The system could not upgrade a talent twice for the same person but for some reason for the talentless people. Although the system still could not upgrade twice, there is a hidden perk.
For the talentless people, the system could hack their talent and immediately give them one talent, no matter what level it was, even if it was the strongest talent.
The strongest talent was named God Talent by the system and it was too damn expensive and that's another reason for the talentless body, as he was poor.
Lucius really wanted to obtain but the points that he needed were too much so now he began to go back to the village to absorb more corpses to get more points.
Lucius then returned to the village and was surprised as he found that a group of strangers were already in the village investigating it.
Lucius could also sense from their aura that they were way stronger than him, many times stronger than the chief even.
Lucius then immediately thought of something and in that moment, he immediately used bone claws to hurt himself and ran toward the strangers and yelled, "Help me! Is there anyone there?"
The group suddenly turned to Lucius as they heard his voice. They were also surprised to see that there was still someone here and the leader of the group immediately went forward and confronted Lucius.
"Who are you? What are you doing here? Are you the villager of this destroyed village?" The leader asked upon seeing Lucius' injuries.
Lucius immediately said while crying, "Yeah, I... I'm one of the former villagers of this village. Just an orphan. The villagers... they cast me out on Awakening Day because they think I can fend for myself."
The leader immediately softened a bit after hearing that this kid was orphan, "I see. Do you see any other people than you?"
Lucius immediately shook his head and said, "I am the only one who was kicked out so I don't see anyone beside me and also I think that I am the only survivor as I am kicked out and not attacked by the beasts in the village."
The leader then asked again, feeling something was amiss. "You said that you were kicked out but why did you come back here? If you survive, why risk your life by coming back here?"
Lucius immediately shook a bit and answered, "I... I had some belongings. A locket my mother left me before she died. It's all I have of her. I thought maybe... maybe I could find it here but it seems that everything is destroyed now."
The leader who heard Lucius' sad life could only sympathize with him, as he could not do anything to help him as he was now escorting this important person in the carriage.
But then suddenly, the carriage door was opened and soon a muscular man with fiery red hair suddenly came out and looked at Lucius.
Lucius could only calm down as he looked at the muscular man. Although the aura he felt from this person was not as strong as the group, seeing that he was in a carriage meant that he was a person with a strong background.
The red-haired man then immediately glared at Lucius and immediately smirked before speaking. "Hey, kid. What's your name?"
Lucius immediately answered, as he was quite nervous in front of him, "My name is Lucius with no family names, sir."
The red-haired man then immediately walked toward the boy and immediately shouted, "I'm Magnus Volcaria, the young master of the Volcaria family, one of the best families in the world."
Lucius, who heard it, was a little bit surprised. "Volcaria? Strange, why haven't I heard of them in the past? Just how much time has passed since I am a tree?"
Lucius only used a polite tone in answering him, "It's an honor to meet you, young master Magnus."
Magnus only smirked when hearing that and immediately said, "Flattery won't get you far, kid. I'll cut to the chase. I can bring you to the city or even to my family's estate, but... I need to know what you can do first."
Lucius, who heard it, immediately understood what he meant and said, "I see. You want to see what I can do first before taking me along, right?"
Magnus was a bit surprised after hearing Lucius' answer, "Smart kid. I like that but still something's off. A moment ago, you were trembling like a puppy, but now you are standing here calm, collected, and sharp. What's the deal with you?"
Lucius, who was found out, immediately told Magnus about it: "It's quite simple, as i have been bullied all my life in the village so after seeing what happened, I decided to change."
Lucius then immediately said again, "The scared puppy that you saw earlier was no more and now it is the real me, as this is what i need to survive in this world."
Magnus, who heard it immediately, was quite surprised but also interested. "Quite interesting. I have to admit that I never expected that kind of answer."
Magnus then immediately laughed out and said, "I have decided. I liked you so let me tell you, if you really can amaze me with your skill, I will give you something precious."
Lucius immediately smiled upon hearing it. "I see. If that is the case, then let me tell you what I can do that will immediately make you interested." Lucius then began to explain his expertise.
