Paxton was currently eating dinner with the village chief, who was his father. Paxton was now a bit happy after kicking out Lucius and eating his food happily.
The village chief looked at his son and began to say something. "Paxton, I think it is time for you to leave the village."
Paxton paused for a second and immediately asked for confirmation, "Leave? What do you mean by that, father?"
The village chief then explained it: "I mean that it is time for you to leave the village and go to the city. I have arranged for you to join the academy there."
Paxton then continued to eat as he replied, "I see. Then when will i leave to enter this academy that you talked about?"
The village chief was about to tell him the exact time for him to leave but suddenly, before he could, the door was opened with force and the village vice chief came in.
The village chief was about to get angry but looking at the current condition of the chief, who was now pale and breathing heavily, he held on.
He just decided to ask him the reason for him breaking in: "Vice chief, tell me what is going on that made you break your way in here."
The vice chief immediately said, "It's a beast tide, chief! A hundred beasts are now coming toward our village right now and they are also the rampaging ones."
The moment the village chief heard it, he was surprised and immediately told the vice chief, "How long do you think before they arrived at this village?"
The vice chief immediately told him his estimation: "I estimated that the beast tide will arrive at this village in an hour or less."
The village chief then immediately ordered the vice chief, "Gather the women and children and quickly evacuate them."
He then continued again, "And for the men, gather them up and make them soldiers temporary and tell them that they will be gifted some money later."
The vice chief nodded after hearing his order, "Understood, chief!" He then immediately left the room to do what he was told.
The village chief also then turned to Paxton and immediately told him, "Paxton, listen to me carefully. You will join the women and children in the evacuation caravan."
Paxton frowned, as he also wanted to join the fight. "But, Father, I am already awakened so I can join the fight."
The chief was then a bit angry hearing that and answered, "No, you cannot. You just awakened, and you even have not tamed any beasts so you will only be dead weight."
The chief then grabbed his shoulder and said, "Now leave and make sure that you are safe. If the village is destroyed, you have to immediately go to the city."
Paxton could only nod after hearing it and soon realized just how important his life was. "Yes, father." Paxton then immediately left his father in the room.
The village chief then immediately went to the village gate to see the current condition. He then realized that there were about a hundred beasts and none of them were quiet ones so this beast tide will be harder than he thought.
He then looked around and shouted, "Everyone, listen! This is a crisis, but we will handle it like usual. Defend our village and we will be rewarded!"
The people immediately cheered as they already knew about this, as there were also some beast tides in the past and it was a good money maker.
The chief and the villagers then immediately summoned their beasts and ordered them simultaneously, "Attack and kill those beasts!"
Meanwhile, Paxton was now currently in the evacuation caravan with women and teenagers his ages that also just awakened earlier.
Some of them were nervous, the rest were not and some of the calm ones were Paxton's own crew that served him.
One of them was Jarek, who was actually the son of the vice chief of the village. He then immediately went and sat beside Paxton.
"What do you think will happen later, seeing that we are being evacuated?" Jarek was asking about Paxton's thought about this situation
Paxton only smiled and said, "It will be the same as usual. We will evacuate for some time while our father goes and kills those beasts."
Paxton then continued as he explained about it, "The beast tide had happened every year so I doubt that anything different will happen."
Paxton then suddenly smirked as he remembered something: "Oh wait, I forgot. There is something that has changed. That stupid boy, Lucius, has gone from here."
Jarek, who heard it also laughed as he remembered Lucius. "Yeah, and also thinking that he was in the forest at this time means that he should have died now."
Paxton then smiled as he nodded. "Of course, he was just an orphan and a talentless one. He will only die in the forest, where his good looks will not work at all."
Paxton and Jarek continued to laugh when they thought about Lucius' bad situation, but suddenly the caravan was stopped, which made them fall off.
Paxton, who was angry, immediately shouted, "What the hell happened? Why are you stopping the caravan so suddenly?"
The driver of the caravan immediately looked at Paxton and explained, "Young master Paxton, I stop because there is someone that is now currently standing in front of us blocking our way."
Paxton, who heard it, immediately got out of the car while saying in anger, "Let's see who was stupid enough to stop our caravan in this situation."
Paxton then immediately went to the front of the caravan and when he saw the one who blocked them, he immediately smirked.
"Well...well...well... if it isn't our dear friend, Lucius? What are you doing here, you orphan?" Paxton immediately said to Lucius, who was currently in front of him.
Lucius, who was now being confronted by Paxton, only smirked as he was not the same Lucius as before.
