The investigator stood up.
Because of them, the tension in the room rose, and the staff members could feel it.
One of the investigators gave a polite yet emotionless nod to the staff members. "Thank you for your cooperation."
The staff members exchanged uncertain glances. Something about this felt very wrong.
Before the staff members could think it more, the investigator spoke again, but colder.
"I need to remind you to never speak of this meeting to anyone."
The manager furrowed his brows. "Why is that?"
The investigator's smile didn't waver. "Because it is not your concern."
The staff members tensed.
One of the younger employees shifted nervously. "Wait... is Loreia in trouble? Did she do something bad?"
The investigator's smile faded slightly. "This has nothing to do with you."
He then turned to all of them. "Forget about Loreia. Forget about this meeting."
The manager's jaw tightened. "And if we don't?"
