Astorius narrowed his eyes as he heard what Lucius had just said. "That's impossible! All recorded history states that if a tamer tries to contract a beastman, their talent is erased! That's been the rule for centuries! There is no exception!"
Lucius only smirked as he locked eyes with Astorius. "And tell me, Astorius, what would you think if I told you… that rule only applies to King-level talents and below?"
Astorius' body tensed a bit as he clenched his fist and growled. "What did you say?!"
Lucius chuckled, shaking his head. "It's simple. Emperor-level talents do not follow the same rules. That's why you never knew about this, Astorius."
He gestured toward his own contracted beastman. "No one in the Empire's history has ever had a true Emperor-level talent."
