Ragnar leaned forward slightly. He could see that Daton was a bit in a dilemma. "Daxton, let me tell you this. If you're brave enough to take this chance..."
Ragnar extended his hand. "I'll make sure that you will be taken care of if something goes wrong. You'll live comfortably for the rest of your life. That's my promise as Patriarch."
Daxton glanced at Ragnar and furrowed as he heard the assurance Ragnar said. While the words offered some comfort, they didn't fully quell the tension.
Lucius smirked as he heard what Ragnar had just said. He glanced at Daxton again and extended his hand again. "So, what do you think? Will you take the chance to become more powerful or stay like this for the rest of your life?"
Daxton sighed. He was pressured with the decision he needed to make. Finally, he nodded as he glanced at Lucius. "Yes, Young Master. I'll do it. If this can make me stronger than I am now, then I'm willing to take the risk."
