Zerath stared at Liora. He was confused about what was going on. "Who are you? Why are you helping me?"
Liora didn't turn to face him immediately. Instead, she laughed hard. "Helping you?"
She glanced back at him over her shoulder and smirked. "You must still be dazed from that attack if you think I'm here to help you."
Zerath frowned as he continued to stare at her. "What—," but before he could talk, Liora cut him off with a sudden act.
Liora leapt into the air. With Zerath being taller, she had to jump to reach her target. She shot her claws out and clamped them around his neck.
"What are you—?!" Zerath's words were cut off as Liora tightened her grip and smirked. "You're confused, so let me fix that for you."
With a twist, Liora drove her knee upward, striking Zerath squarely in the head. The impact reverberated through his skull, leaving him momentarily stunned.
