We begin with Arthur and his family sitting around the table after Merlin's departure from their home.
Robin: "So, you're a king?"
Arthur: "I'm not a bloody king, I'm the son of a baker."
Robin: "Well the greatest wizard ever says you're supposed to be a king."
Arthur: "He's nothing be a senile old man."
Marie: "Arthur, we saw him use magic. Magic that hasn't been seen in many, many years."
Robin: "She's right plus what's so bad about becoming a king."
Arthur slams his hand on the table startling both his mother and brother as he rises from his chair.
Arthur: "That bloody throne he speaks off does nothing but cause people pain and misery. It's part of the reason the Pendragon's fell in the first place."
As Arthur finishes his statement he walks away to his room leaving his mother and brother behind.
Robin: "You think he'll be okay?"
Marie: "I'm not sure... I'm sure he's already stressed just thinking about it."
Robin sighs as he stands up.
Robin: "I'll talk to him, brotherly duty calls."
Robin then heads off towards Arthur's room and without even a knock he lets himself in.
Arthur: "You seriously don't know how to knock, do you brother?"
Robin just shrugs.
Robin: "As your big brother I get this privilege."
Arthur rolls his eyes as he leans against the wall in his room.
Arthur: "So, what are you here for? Here to convince me to accept my destiny or whatever it is that he spoke of."
Robin: "Not exactly, little brother. I say screw the old man but we can't act like what he said wasn't alarming enough. He said our home could be destroyed and that you brother have the ability to change that."
Arthur: "How do we know he's not lying?"
Robin just shrugs.
Robin: "We don't but the greatest wizard ever doesn't have a reason to lie now, does he?"
Arthur: "You're right."
Robin: "I'm never wrong little brother."
Arthur: "You sure about that? What about the time you thought you needed to sleep with a whore in order to become a real man?"
Robin: "Well fundamentally speaking I wasn't necessarily wrong."
Arthur starts chuckling as does his brother and as their laughter dies down they resume their earlier conversation.
Robin: "I'm not saying you have to immediately do whatever he says but hearing him out is a step in the right direction."
Arthur just nods.
Arthur: "Fine, next time he comes around here then I'll hear him out."
Robin smiles as he places a hand on his brother's shoulder and brings him into a hug.
Robin: "No matter what, I've got your back little brother."

It was now the next day and Arthur just finished handing out left over bread to the townfolk as he was about to head home though someone suddenly bumps into him.
Arthur looks at the girl who just fell and holds his hand out to help her up.
Arthur: "Sorry about that I was-"
Before he could even finish the girl speaks cutting him off.
Girl: "Why don't you watch where you're going next time."
The girl then stands up on her own ignoring Arthur's hand that reached out towards her. The girl wipes her clothes off as she then glares at Arthur.
Girl: "Do you not know who I am?"
Arthur: "Am I supposed to know who you are?"
The girl scoffs.
Girl: "I am the eldest daughter of Lord Edward Stark and Lady Catelyn Stark. I am betrothed to the future king, Prince Joffrey Baratheon. My name is Sansa Stark."
Arthur just looks at her not at all impressed by her background.
Arthur: "Not sure how you expected me to just know all of that by looking at you for the first time."
Sansa: "You have no respect for those above you it would seem. You're nothing like the king to be who knows how to treat a lady."
Arthur smiles a bit trying to stifle a laugh but Sansa notices it.
Sansa: "What are you smiling about?"
Arthur: "I'd rather not say after all I'd like to keep my head on my neck. Now why don't you go and run along little miss princess."
Sansa begins to mumble something as she walked away from Arthur some of which he picked up but chose to ignore.
Arthur (Thinking): 'I hope for her sake she doesn't go around thinking that everyone in a position of power is just nice and respectful. This isn't a fairytale especially in a world like this.'

Arthur finally arrives back home where he sees Merlin waiting outside of it.
Arthur: "Why are you just standing out here looking creepy?"
Merlin: "Nobody was home and I'd rather not just use magic to open the door. You already don't trust me as it stands."
Arthur knew he had a point so he invites him inside where they both take a seat at the table.
Merlin: "So are you finally ready to accept your destiny?"
Arthur: "I'm only hearing you out for now. I want to know everything."
Merlin: "Ask any questions you may have then."
Arthur: "What happened to house Pendragon? Why did it suddenly start to decline?"
Merlin: "It all started with Arthur's successor who wasn't able to use Excalibur and not only that the great dragon no longer served the house since Arthur stepped down. It also didn't help that the guy was a prick who only slept with whores and his constant attempts at trying to sit on the iron throne failed."
Arthur: "Those are indeed all ingredients for a house to fall even one as great as ours was."
Merlin: "By the time someone else took over it was already too late, the Pendragon's were no longer the same. Excalibur hadn't been seen in years and the great dragon went into hiding."
Arthur: "Then what about this destiny of mine that you speak of?"
Merlin: "A prophecy spoke of a Pendragon that would rise to sit on the iron throne with the mother of dragons, a wolf and a member of house Tyrell all by his side."
Arthur looks deep in thought before finally responding.
Arthur: "You think this is all about me? Couldn't it just be my kids or my grandkids?"
Merlin: "It could be but there's only one way to know for certain."
Arthur: "How?"
Merlin: "Pulling Excalibur from its stone. If you do that then the prophecy I speak of will be about you, Arthur Pendragon."

The next day Arthur was now talking with his brother and mother, telling them about yesterday's conversation with Merlin.
Robin: "So you're going to go with him on this journey?"
Arthur: "I am, it'll give me the answers that I need."
Robin: "Then I'm going with you."
Arthur: "I don't need-"
Robin: "I'm going end of discussion. I'm not letting you travel by yourself."
Arthur: "I'd be with Merlin and what about mother?"
Marie: "I think he should go as well."
Arthur: "Mother!?"
Marie: "Knowing you both are out there looking out for each other would make me worry a little less."
Arthur sighs knowing he isn't out arguing the both of them.
Arthur: "Fine, we leave tomorrow so you better pack."
Robin smirks as he heads towards his room. Marie then steps up towards Arthur and places a hand on his cheek.
Marie: "No matter what happens out there, I'm proud of you."
Arthur nods as he hugs his mother tightly to which she does the same.

The next morning Arthur, Robin, and Merlin were finally setting off in search of the legendary sword known as Excalibur.
