Soon, Chu Wuyao caught up with the two of them and walked behind them, as if nothing had happened.
Xia Qianyue and Chu Xu didn't suspect anything and thought that she had fallen behind for some reason.
While the three of them walked through the corridors and the rooms of the mansion, they were quite unlucky and met a few servants and maids, only to knock them out and throw them aside.
Finally, the trio stopped outside a wooden door.
They didn't act recklessly, but extended their senses to investigate inside, only to find that there was no one.
Seeing this, Chu Xu motioned them with his hands and after he pushed the door open, he stepped inside.
Chu Wuyao followed him and was met with a large room that was filled with tall bookshelves.
On each of these bookshelves, there were hundreds of books neatly placed.
At the center of the room, an open book lay on top of a desk, as if someone was reading just now.
However, just as they had previously sensed, there was no other trace of Li Zhengyu inside the room.
"The servant told me that Li Zhengyu would stay at the study room for days at a time."
"Let's search around and see if there is any hidden room in this place.", Xia Qianyue whispered.
Her words received Chu Wuyao's and Chu Xu's agreement, and they started snooping around the study room.
Time passed by slowly and just when the three of them thought that they would find nothing, Xia Qianyue found a strange button behind a book and pressed it unconsciously.
Instantly, the whole room shook, as the bookshelf moved on its own and revealed a strange black door hidden behind it.
There was an eerie, red, two-horned goat painted on the door, as if its creator was afraid that people wouldn't know that they were evil.
When Chu Xu saw that Xia Qianyue had actually found a secret door, he stopped her from going in and stepped forward bravely.
As the senior brother, he felt that it was impossible to let his junior sister take the risk.
While remaining on guard, Chu Xu pushed the door open fully prepared for something to attack him, but the expected attack never came.
Instead, he found a spiral staircase that was leading underground.
The staircase was a bit dark, with the only light being the few red lamps that were hanging on the side.
"Be careful and always stay behind me.", Chu Xu instructed the two women and stepped on the staircase and walked towards the bottom.
Chu Wuyao, who had seen many horror movies, always felt that something bad was going to happen.
But when she looked at Chu Xu that was walking ahead, she was instantly relieved.
Fortunately, there was a cannon fodder with her that was ready to act as a meat shield at any time.
In front, Chu Xu's intuition suddenly warned him of danger.
He thought that some enemy had appeared, but no matter how much time passed, nothing happened.
"Is my intuition wrong?", he whispered with some confusion and turned his head around, only to see that Chu Wuyao was looking at him with a smile.
For some reason, Chu Xu always felt that this smile was a bit strange.
"No, it should be my imagination.", Chu Xu shook his head and continued moving.
The spiral staircase was surprisingly long and it took longer than they had expected for Chu Wuyao and her companions to reach its end.
Once they did, they found themselves in a huge underground room that was completely empty.
Or rather, it was almost empty, as there was a pool of red liquid in the underground room.
Their arrival seemed to have caused some changes in the room, as ripples appeared on the surface of the originally calm red pool.
Many human heads poked out of the red pool and they swam towards the shore, before stepping out.
Hundreds of figures staggered out of the pool and stared at the three of them.
These figures were both men and women, young and old, poor and wealthy.
Their only common characteristic was that every figure's body was extremely thin with their skin clinging to their bones, while their eyes were scarlet.
Before the trio could react, these hundreds of figures started attacking them.
The didn't hold any weapon or used any skill, only using the strength of their physical body.
Even then, their movements were extremely fast and it would be impossible for mortals to observe their figures.
"Be careful! They are Blood Slaves!", Chu Wuyao shouted to remind Xia Qianyue and Chu Xu.
Blood Slaves, a type of creature that disciples of the Blood God Palace could create by draining all the blood out of a human and then controlling their mummified bodies.
The Blood Slaves in front of them only had the strength of a 2nd Level Qi Accumulation cultivator, but their large number could still pose danger to them if they were not careful.
This was the unique advantage of Blood Slaves: they were easy to create and control.
In fact, Chu Wuyao had heard that there is a high-level skill that can create Blood Slaves with strength beyond the Qi Accumulation Realm, but such a skill is obviously not something that Li Zhengyu can come in contact with.
Facing the attacks of the Blood Slaves around her, Chu Wuyao didn't show any panic on her face.
With a thought of her mind, white smoke flowed out of her pores and spread to the area around her, engulfing the Blood Slaves that were trying to attack her.
This white mist was the Fog of Hallucination, albeit slightly disguised.
Chu Wuyao didn't want Xia Qianyue and Chu Xu to find that she was a member of the Original Desire Sect, so she painted the mist white.
There were many spells with similar appearance and effects, so Chu Wuyao didn't have to worry about them suspecting her.
When the white mist met the Blood Slaves, it seemed to have its own consciousness and instantly drilled into their bodies.
The Blood Slaves' scarlet eyes fluctuated and a white light briefly flashed in them.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, Chu Wuyao stepped on the ground and appeared in front of one of the Blood Slaves.
Waving her hand, her nails penetrated its head, cutting it in two as if it was made out of paper.
[You killed a Blood Slave. Sin Points +3]
Chu Wuyao ignored the prompt and flashed again, appearing in front of another sluggish Blood Slave and punching it on the head.
Chu Wuyao's face remained expressionless and she shuttled around gracefully, accurately attacking the Blood Slaves' weak spots.
Punches, claws, palms, kicks, etc..
Many fighting skills were used.
Chu Wuyao used every place of her body as if it was a weapon, slaughtering the Blood Slaves with incomparable ease.
The more she fought, the more comfortable she became and her movements seemed to turn into a beautiful dance.
A very gruesome, bloody, dance that is.
While Chu Wuyao was enjoying herself, Chu Xu and Xia Qianyue weren't as comfortable.
Even though Chu Wuyao had attracted about a third of the Blood Slaves, the two of them were still being besieged by a large amount of them.
Chu Xu was controlling a silver sword with his thoughts and attacking the surrounding Blood Slaves whenever there was a suitable opportunity, while Xia Qianyue stood behind him, casting various skills and adding buffs to him.
Unfortunately, neither Chu Xu nor Xia Qianyue had practiced body cultivation and they could not be as reckless as Chu Wuyao.
After all, although their bodies were strong, their strongest point was actually their skills.
Helpless, the two could only dodge the Blood Slaves' attacks and wait for Chu Wuyao to deal with the opponents around her and then come and help them.
Inwardly, the pair was secretly shocked.
They didn't expect that sister Chu, who was only at the 3rd Level of Qi Accumulation would actually so strong.
The fight in the underground room continued, but no one knew that a tall, fat figure was sitting cross-legged at the bottom of the pool of blood.
There was a large, dark whirlpool in front of the figure that was sucking the surrounding blood and pouring it right into the its body.
As the blood entered the figure's body, its aura was steadily increasing, as if it was about to break through a certain barrier.
If one were to look at the figure's head, they would find that there was a transparent, ethereal lock on its forehead.
Faintly, there were a few cracks on its surface, as if this lock was about to break into pieces.
If any cultivator was here to see this, they would recognize that Li Zhengyu, who was supposed to be at the 7th Level of Qi Accumulation, was currently trying to break through the Shackles Realm!
