[You killed an animal with monster bloodline. Sin Points +0.1]
Glancing at the prompt in front of her eyes, Chu Wuyao felt that sure enough, killing creatures would also reward her Sin Points.
"All the system novels I read back on Earth weren't lying.", her thoughts turned strange.
Unfortunately, perhaps because the Dark Poison Viper was too weak, the Sin Points she gained were very actually very few, less than 1 Sin Point.
If killing monsters only rewarded so few Sin Points, she would have to kill hundreds of creatures to increase her cultivation just by a level.
"Let's try and see if killing stronger monsters can reward me more Sin Points."
"At least I found a way more reliable way to get points than just having sex."
Chu Wuyao shook her fist lightly to shake off the blood, but when she saw that she couldn't, she took out a handkerchief and wiped the blood on it.
After she cleaned her hand carefully, revealing the smooth skin, she leaned down and started dismantling the corpse of the Dark Poison Viper with a small knife.
She cut it open, before collecting its remaining blood and storing it inside a small bottle.
Since she knew that she was going to hunt monsters, Chu Wuyao had already made sure to bring the necessary equipment along with her.
Bottles, bags, knives, etc..
Unfortunately, she didn't have a space equipment to store the corpse inside and could only collect some of the more valuable parts of the viper, like its fangs and scales.
If someone were to look at the current scene, they would start to doubt if what they saw was real.
A beautiful, delicate young woman that looked completely harmless was violently dissecting the corpse of a massive snake with a smile on her face.
Thankfully, no one was here to see this, otherwise Chu Wuyao's reputation would be completely ruined.
A few minutes passed before Chu Wuyao finished, having taken away every single thing she could.
After all, these things could all be exchanged for contribution points when she returned to the sect.
Getting back to her feet, she put everything away and quickly left this place.
Animals, especially animals with monster bloodline have an excellent sense of smell and are able to detect things in a large radius around them.
With the Dark Poison Viper dying here, some predators might be attracted.
Chu Wuyao wanted to hunt monsters, not be hunted by monsters.
Walking through the forest, Chu Wuyao' feet stepped on the rough terrain with ease, as if the ground was perfectly smooth.
Her eyes glowed with a strange red light from time to time and she used the Illusion Eyes skill to try and find traces of animals.
Time passed slowly and it was only now that Chu Wuyao realized how lucky she had gotten to meet the Dark Poison Viper before.
Even though she had walked for hours and covered a large area, she had yet to meet any other animal or monster.
"It should be because new disciples regularly enter the this place and clean the monsters on the outskirts of the forest.", she was secretly a little unhappy, but quickly understood the reason.
She was not the only disciple of the Original Desire Sect and was not the only one who could choose hunting missions.
Moreover, the animals in this area were quite weak and easy to hunt, without putting up any resistance.
Raising her head and seeing the setting sun through the tall tree's branches, Chu Wuyao decided to find a place to stay for the night.
Although she could return to the sect to stay for the night, Chu Wuyao didn't want to waste her time going back and forth.
Instead, she felt that it was better to rest in the forest for the night.
After she found a tall tree, she climbed up with nimble movements and searched for a branch that was big enough to hold her weight.
Finally, when she found one, she got on it and sat down, leaning her head back.
In this world, because of the lack of light in the night, the stars in the sky shine brilliantly with captivating white light.
Chu Wuyao's eyes reflected the countless stars and her two legs swung in the air.
Various thoughts passed through her mind and she was not in the mood to sleep.
The Warring Beasts Forest was dangerous and even if she decided to rest in it, she still remained alert.
Time passed, as Chu Wuyao recalled everything that had happened over the past two days and made various plans about the future.
Just when the night was about to pass and Chu Wuyao thought that nothing unexpected would happen, a sudden glow flashed through the darkness.
"Swoosh!"
The sound of the wind being cut through reached Chu Wuyao's ears, jolting her awake.
Feeling an intense sense of danger, she instinctively jumped back.
The second she jumped, a pair of silver claws appeared where her head previously was.
The claws hit the wooden branch, leaving behind deep cuts.
When Chu Wuyao's two feet landed back on the branch again, she turned her head and saw what had just attacked her.
It was a small black creature that blended into the darkness of the night, with a pair of silver eyes and sharp claws on its legs.
If she was back on earth, she would have mistaken it for a kitten, but in this world of cultivation, she knew that it was a dangerous predator.
"A Shadow Cat?", Chu Wuyao instantly recognized it.
"No wonder it was able to come near me without me even noticing. It lives up to its name as a well-known assassin."
Despite her inner surprise, Chu Wuyao's movements didn't stop all at.
Staring into the Shadow Cat's silver eyes, her eyes glowed with a red light and she used the Illusion Eyes.
The Shadow Cat's eyes flashed with a red light and its brain stopped working for a split second, before the red light disappeared and its eyes regained clarity.
But this time was enough for Chu Wuyao, who with a big step appeared next to it.
Her right hand turned into a claw and she waved it towards the Shadow Cat's head.
"Shnnk."
Her black nails pierced through its head easily and soon cut through its brain.
"Boom!"
The Shadow Cat's body lost its support and crashed to the ground, throwing dust all over this place.
However, Chu Wuyao still didn't relax.
Taking a heavy step, she jumped off the tree, landing to the ground next to its corpse.
"Shhh."
The moment she landed, two more claws attacked the place she previously stood on.
Chu Wuyao wasn't surprised and had already expected it.
Shadow Cats are animals that like to hunt during the night and mostly move in teams of three.
Because of their ability to hide their aura and their speed, they make excellent assassins and are known to kill unsuspecting cultivators.
"Hisss!"
The two Shadow Cats growled in anger when they saw that they failed to kill the human who caused their companion's death.
With a move of their hind legs, they jumped off the tree branch and blended back into the darkness.
Silence returned to the forest, as if what had just happened was an illusion.
But even then, Chu Wuyao didn't let her guard down.
Using the Illusion Eyes, she searched through the surrounding grass and bushes, trying to find the two Shadow Cats.
She didn't believe that they would just escape like this.
Unfortunately, no matter how hard she tried, she was unable to find any trace of them.
Seeing this, Chu Wuyao didn't hesitate and used the only other skill that could be used in combat - the Fog of Hallucination.
Translucent pink mist floated out of her body and spread through the surrounding area slowly.
"Hisss!"
Perhaps because they noticed the incoming danger, the two Shadow Cats no longer held back.
As if they had reached an agreement, they showed themselves at the same exact time and launched their attacks.
One attack came from the front and the other from behind, leaving Chu Wuyao with no choice but to try and dodge or defend.
Chu Wuyao didn't show any panic, but she laughed.
Coupled with the blood that still remained on her body and soaked her black dress, she looked a little crazy.
"Hahaha...A bunch of animals with a little trace of monster bloodline dare to try and kill me?"
Her right hand turned into a claw and she waved it behind her, while one of her legs got off the ground and kicked right in front of her.
Instead of choosing to defend or dodge, Chu Wuyao chose to directly fight back.
'Worst case, we will all die together!', she thought and smiled wildly.
The two Shadow Cats noticed her determination to die with them and their eyes flashed with doubts.
You can just dodge, why are you fighting so desperately?
They both hesitated and tried to take their claws back, but it was already too late.
"Bang! Shhh!"
The three of them collided violently at the same exact time.
"Boom!"
The two Shadow Cats's claws snapped back and their bones cracked, while their bodies flew back and crashed into the ground.
They tried to get back up, but they had a hard time controlling their injured bodies.
On the other side, although Chu Wuyao was able to remain standing, her injuries were also severe.
A large gash appeared on her leg, while all the bones on her right hand were broken and blood flowed out.
Blood spilled out of the corner of her mouth and dripped on the ground.
Despite all of this, her expression didn't change at all and a smile still remained on her face.
She didn't hesitate and stepped on her feet, appearing in front of one of the Shadow Cats and punching it in the head, crashing its skull.
The other Shadow Cat saw that its other companion also died and wanted to escape, but Chu Wuyao wasn't willing to let it go.
In an instant, she flashed next to it and kicked it with all her strength.
A crackling noise echoed in the forest, as all of the Shadow Cat's bones cracked and its body soon fell limp.
Only then did Chu Wuyao breath a sigh of relief.
"It's finally over.", she whispered in a low voice.
Glancing at the blood that remained all over this place and feeling the many wounds on her body, she smiled wryly.
