Hattori liked Pakura, not just for her beauty and figure, but also out of sympathy for her fate.
In the original story, Pakura had thwarted a plot by Iwagakure, earning her the status of a hero in Sunagakure. She was respected and well-liked, with high standing in the village.
However, after Sunagakure lost to Konoha and later faced a looming battle with Iwagakure, the situation became critical.
To prevent Iwagakure from forming an alliance with Kirigakure, Sunagakure had no choice but to agree to a ceasefire with Kirigakure. The condition for this ceasefire was handing over Pakura to pacify Kirigakure's anger.
Poor Pakura had no idea she was being betrayed by Sunagakure's top officials. She entered Kirigakure's trap completely unprepared, and was mercilessly attacked and killed by hundreds of kunai.
The most ironic part was that after her death, Sunagakure's leadership framed her death on Iwagakure, inflaming the rage of the uninformed Sunagakure ninjas to boost morale for the upcoming battle with Iwagakure.
And so, Pakura became a casualty of war, a tragic figure mourned by countless fans of the *Naruto* series.
Hattori was one of those fans, and he was determined to change Pakura's fate!
"If we defeat Konoha and minimize Sunagakure's losses while securing enough war compensation, the threat from Iwagakure and Kirigakure will be significantly reduced, and Pakura won't have to sacrifice herself."
Of course, this was the ideal solution, but it wasn't entirely foolproof.
To ensure a perfect outcome, Hattori came up with an even more reliable plan: winning Pakura's heart!
"As a disciple of Chiyo and the appointed future Medical Chief of Sunagakure by the Third Kazekage, I'm considered one of the village's leaders. If Pakura marries me, who would dare to sacrifice her?"
Overwhelmed by his own brilliance, Hattori couldn't help but pat his face with pride.
"Indeed, you bear a level of charm and cleverness beyond your years. It's hard work… serving Sunagakure!" he muttered, striding confidently into Pakura's tent and pushing aside the entrance flap.
"Sister Pakura, I…" He stopped mid-sentence as he saw her in the bathing tub. The sight of her beauty made his eyes sparkle.
"Could this be what they mean by 'a natural beauty without embellishment'?" he wondered, instinctively reaching his hands out to her.
"(﹃) Sister Pakura, this tub of water is such a waste with just one person. Let me join you!"
Pakura: "Σ(°△°|||)︴"
…
A moment later, Pakura, now dressed and using her Scorch Style to dry her hair, glanced sternly at Hattori.
"Are you alright?"
"( ̄ε(# ̄) Sister Pakura, I'm fine, just a little sore in the face!"
"Pfft…" Pakura couldn't keep a straight face and burst out laughing, though she shot him a warning look.
"You deserved that! Rushing in like that, a slap was nothing. If it were anyone else, I'd have taught them a lesson with my Scorch Style!"
"Oh?" Hattori's eyes lit up. "So I'm special to you? Then next time, I'll…"
"Don't even think about it!"
Seeing the mischievous look on his face, Pakura rolled her eyes.
"I forgave you this time only because you protected the village in that attack on Iwagakure. But if you try that again, I'll make sure you regret it!"
"Oh, that's it!" Hattori nodded, enlightened.
"I get it now, but Sister Pakura, next time, don't hit my face. I have some reputation in village, and it'd be embarrassing if my face were swollen!"
"Pfft!" Pakura laughed again, her face turning red as she shot him a teasing glance.
"Ugh, sneaking a peek at a girl in the bath didn't make you feel embarrassed? And you call yourself respectable? I think you've no shame! If you try that again…"
At that, she seemed to realize something and stared at Hattori with wide eyes.
"Huh? Wait, did you mean you're planning a next time? You've got guts!"
"Heh, I'm not *that* brave!" Hattori scratched his head sheepishly at her shocked expression.
"Honestly, I'm not much for guts, just a bit of courage!"
"…"
At this, Pakura sighed, closed her eyes, and took a deep breath. She then raised her hand toward Hattori, a bit exasperated.
"Alright, enough of this. Just tell me why you're here. Did Lady Chiyo have something to relay?"
"Exactly!"
Hattori nodded seriously, as if the topic hadn't just veered from serious to awkward and back.
"Sensei said you need to guard me 24/7 until we leave. Even at night, you need to share the same bed with me!"
"→_→"
Pakura gave him a skeptical look, narrowing her eyes.
"Really? You're not lying to me?"
"Why would I lie to you?" Hattori's expression turned indignant.
"With your intelligence, do you think I could fool you? If you don't believe me, I'll take you to Sensei right now to ask her!"
With that, he started out of the tent, leading the way to Chiyo's tent.
Seeing his determined look, Pakura hesitated but followed.
Soon, they were standing outside Chiyo's tent. Hattori held up a hand for her to wait and spoke in a low voice.
"Sister Pakura, Sensei's probably sleeping. You wait here, I'll call her!"
"Lady Chiyo is resting?"
Pakura hesitated. "Then maybe I should ask her tomorrow…"
"No, no… it's fine! Just wait here a moment."
Not waiting for her to finish, Hattori slipped inside the tent.
Soon, Chiyo's voice came from within.
"Pakura, is that you? Come in!"
"Yes!" Pakura quickly answered, lifting the flap to enter the tent.
Inside, she saw Chiyo sitting on her bed, with Hattori squatting beside her. Chiyo was dressed in a bold, pink bikini, appearing unusually daring.
Pakura stood there, stunned.
"Oh… excuse me, Lady Chiyo, I didn't mean to interrupt. Actually, I just wanted to ask if you really ordered me to protect Hattori…"
"Yes, that order was indeed from me!"
Chiyo nodded firmly, interrupting Pakura mid-sentence.
"As the Third Kazekage's chosen, as the most talented medical ninja in Sunagakure, and the future Medical Chief, Hattori's safety is crucial to the village. Pakura, I'm entrusting you with this task!"
"Yes, Lady Chiyo!" Pakura straightened.
"Rest assured, I'll protect him. I promise!"
Satisfied, Chiyo nodded.
"Good. I trust you. If there's nothing else, you may go."
"Yes!"
