Bzzt… Bzzt… Bzzt…
To be perfectly frank, claiming I didn't anticipate this would be a lie. However, living out a scenario I've daydreamed about at least once, well, that's an adrenaline rush like no other. My body couldn't help but involuntarily tense every time those moans from below echoed.
Bzzt… Bzzt… Bzzt…
The incessant buzzing of the phone resting on the table next to the bed had been making an obnoxious racket for a good while now.
It was Minsoo, calling way past the appointed time. He must've been wondering why his girlfriend ghosted their date. But little did he know, she was preoccupied with some serious "activities," moaning and grinding like a streetwalker, her voice stifled with desire. "Aaah… Can't you… focus… Master… please…?"
Snatching the phone, I paid no heed to the muffled protests from below. All it took was a glance into her eyes to understand her intentions.
"Yoomin, where are you? I can't seem to reach you all of a sudden."
I hesitated on how to respond. Should I play the part of Yoomin? Nah, that would be too obvious. But at this very moment, this guy's girlfriend was the busiest bee in town. With her hands tied, she couldn't possibly answer the phone, even if she wanted to.
"Hey, Minsoo, it's me, Taeyang, remember? We hung out together last time with three of us."
"Huh? Uh, yeah, I remember… But why are you answering Yoomin's phone?"
"Um… Well…" I grappled with finding words to articulate this. Minsoo kept interrogating me about Yoomin's whereabouts as his anxiety barometer continued to skyrocket.
"Why aren't you answering? What's going on over there?"
Trying to explain this verbally would be awkward as hell. So, reluctantly, I had no recourse but to switch to a video call. And voilà, Minsoo's face graced the screen. His fashion sense… Let's just say it was, uh, peculiar. As for his hairstyle, well, it was the only thing shining about him
"Minsoo, buddy, your haircut is seriously working for you. Did you get it done today? You're so ready for the date."
"Ah… Yeah, I did, but why are you… naked? I'm totally lost right now. What's happening? Explain!" Minsoo's voice was shaking like a leaf in a storm. His face twisted in confusion, and it seemed like if I pushed his buttons any further, he'd burst into tears.
Since he was incessantly demanding a play-by-play of the situation, I had no choice. I reluctantly lowered the phone, overwhelmed with embarrassment. Suddenly, an ear-piercing scream filled the air. Yoomin, startled by the scream so loud it could wake the dead, trembled. Honestly, I couldn't tell if she was reacting to the scream or something else entirely.
"Minsoo, I'm genuinely sorry, but Yoomin's in a highly delicate state at the moment, so it'd be a good idea not to suddenly burst out in shouts or anything." I suggested, maintaining my composure and attempting to appease him. I wondered if his face could get any redder; it looked like a tomato about to detonate.
Minsoo unleashed a barrage of colorful curses and dissolved into a sobbing mess, and when I heard the gasps and moans, I just couldn't help but burst into laughter. "Ah, I shouldn't be laughing, but it's really…"
"W-What on earth is going on? You're lying, aren't you? You're lying!"
Even though he was already sobbing as if his life depended on it, he kept denying everything with fervor. It looked like he needed some reassurance, so I decided to hammer the point home, "Your girlfriend was amazing."
You know, maybe you should have taken better care of her.
