"Hey, Mark, are you heading home?" I was in the dressing room, and Lucas suddenly appeared. We'd been friends for a few years. We both work as adult film actors.

Of course, I lied. Since high school, I've consumed a lot of Japanese content: anime, films, music, manga, novels, and even theater plays.

But I wouldn't say I like talking about it with my friends.

Most of them are in the adult entertainment industry and find that kind of thing strange, so I avoid mentioning it. Lucas is one of those people who thinks any anime-related content is weird.

I admit that I used to think that way myself... but there's no way I can give up on these amazing things. There's so much variety. I can't stop reading, especially manga and novels.

Then, Lucas said goodbye.

Once he left the dressing room, I took volume 10 of the Tensei Shitara Slime manga out of my bag. It's the series I've been reading recently.

I read nine volumes in just a week.

I was initially interested in the " RPG System" concept, but I started to get hooked on the "Kingdom Building" theme. I thought they'd focus more on that, but that wasn't the case.

The author focused a lot on action and characters. A bit disappointing, but still pretty addictive!

I'm enjoying it.

After putting volume 10 back in my bag, I left the studio and got into my car. It wasn't a luxury car, but it wasn't cheap either. An Audi A3.

I admit I could've chosen something better, but this was a unique opportunity.

A friend was selling it for a good price.

I pressed the accelerator and sped down the streets, not caring about the risks. I've lost count of how many tickets I've gotten, but I love the thrill.

And then, something strange happened.

My bag on the passenger seat started moving.

The zipper began opening slowly.

Startled, I slammed on the brakes just before reaching an intersection.

Suddenly.

Flash!

A bright light burst from inside the bag. It was dark outside, but my car was lit up completely. I was blinded. I pressed the brakes harder, but the car didn't stop.

I felt a powerful impact on the side of the car.

The car probably ended up in the middle of the intersection because of my recklessness. But what the hell was that? What the fuck was that light?

After feeling a strong pain all over my body, as if all my organs had burst and my bones had shattered, my vision went completely dark.

At that moment, I felt a strange sensation.

"So this is what it feels like to die? It's cold and not very pleasant. I feel like my body is floating in a lake. I can't move."

I could feel every part of my body being touched by some cold liquid.

Then, warmth enveloped my body, and the darkness around me disappeared. Tiny lights, like fireflies, replaced the darkness. The number of "fireflies" increased over time.

They surrounded my whole body.

It's warm.

"Are these fireflies? They look like particles of light."

"Hm?"

Then, I heard a voice.

"Should I accept? If it's a second chance, I should. Yes, I accept!"

The voice went on about various things, but I couldn't understand any of it. All I could think about was Tensura. It's like when the protagonist died, and the system started giving him abilities.
