Before she could say another word, all of Lina's family belongings were thrown out the door.
The land lady would give her no listening ear.
"You've been evicted." A guard said without emotion.
Cause he was used to it. His mistress is the wife's governor. And she's heartless.
"But I was going to pay! Like we agreed!" Lina screamed.
The land lady glared at her.
"I want my money now then!"
"I only have quarter of it. We agreed to next week—"
"Talk again, and you'll be locked up! Want that? There's space in the cells" The woman said, smiling.
Lina broke down as the mistress got into her carriage, and left with the knight.
What could she do?
Her parents have disappeared since the epidemic broke out.
Out they went, to not return.
As an alchemist working on the epidemic, that was her source of income. And she had two younger siblings.
Her in her early twenties, the other two teenagers.
But she was all alone. Her siblings out doing cleaning work at a tavern.
And the eviction just so happen to happen when it's a few minutes till the siblings return.
"Wha-what will I tell them...?!" Lina thought.
The woman clenched her fist—and with hot tears—closed her eyes.
The sun's setting quickly, and with Lina out of food and housing—and a looming epidemic—she has to step up for herself and her family.
Or else, they'll all die.

At the Eastern region of the country Kiltar.
On a horse, Timothy looked around the lonely desert.
But a thousand more meters, there laid a city.
"The right spot I'm on" he thought.
He brought out a map. And with scrutiny, he noticed he had reached the border between Kiltar and Misk.
Kiltar was suffering an epidemic. The problem wasn't only the epidemic. But the fact that the victims died in strange condition.
No signs of struggle or pain or discomfort before death.
No signs of irregularities on the body.
And no one knowing why, the victim experiences a sudden heart tightening, then their lungs, then their brain.
And it's off to the after life.
"It can't continue!" Timothy said to himself.
The young man in his twenties from the royal family in Kiltar, Timothy lived a humble life.
Decades ago, his father decreed that no person in power would own more than 5,000 pieces of silver in net worth.
Which was the amount owned by the average Kiltar citizen.
This was done to help the rulers live in prudence.
With the only exception that the kingdom's accumulated funds from taxes and donations from foreign countries be used to sustain the country and pay palace salaries.
This way, it would mitigate the kingdom's ruler's suppression of the poor.
But that changed.
As time went on, the first victim of the epidemic happened to be the king.
Timothy's father.
"I WILL stop this nonsense. My people, my friends and family, can't keep dying!"
Which is why he's come to the land of Misk.
The city was welcoming.
But at his own home land, it was becoming unbearable.
The epidemic. His uncle and aunt ceasing power. Oppositions planning a civil war.
So, Timothy had come to this land, cause an alchemist had recommended that he search this place, for they had information that might help with the pandemic.
First, he thought, deal with the epidemic.
Second, destroy the opposition before foreigners try and exploit our disunity.
Third, deal with the relatives.
And due to his status, he decided to disguise himself in a black cloak.
Under the name 'Tye'.
Before him, was the gate of Misk.
