It's been two long years since Barry's been back in tree hill. Over the last two years almost three years he was training his speed with Dr.Wells, Caitlin and Cisco growing bonds with them basically becoming a family. Barry did keep in contact with Karen and his family about what he was doing over the years but one person he wished that kept contact with him was Brooke. He sent her a letter what was on the letter was him telling her how much he cared about her and misses her he realized, ever since he got his speed and has been stopping some crime he's not afraid anyone.
So sending a love letter to the person he loves the most isn't gonna scare him like it did before. Now Barry, Cisco, Caitlin and Dr.Wells are sitting in the main room of Star Labs in Tree Hill just finished unpacking all the gear and getting familiar with this place again
Caitlin:So now that we're back in your hometown Barry what's the first thing you're gonna do?
Barry:*rubs the back of his neck* well I got some people I need to see never told them I was coming home wanted to surprise them
Cisco:*put a suit on display that's sitting in the middle of the room* Isn't she beautiful my greatest achievement *looks a barry* don't ruin this one
Barry:I won't i promise and hey Dr.Wells how are the satellites coming along?
Harrison:Should be up and running shortly we will be able to find anybody in the matter of seconds. This is a good thing from what I herd tree hill isn't the same as we left it
Caitlin:Enough work talk *embraces Barry in a small hug* go enjoy your time back for a while go see your friends and family
Cisco:Don't forget about that one girl you always talked about...I think her name went something like Brooke Davis
Barry just nods with a small chuckle and gives off a wave before running out the lab with everything scattering around the room. The first person Barry is going to see is Karen who is currently at her Cafe.
Barry:*smiles wide as he saw Karen through the window before entering* Does this place still sell the best coffee in town?
Karen:*turns around with her eyes going wide* Barry!? Is that really you
He just nods as he goes over to her and gives her the biggest hug putting a smile on Karen's face. Karen is beyond happy her son is finally home she can't get over the fact how much he's changed
Karen:You changed so much Barr..you look more like your mom before you left, you even got her height *breaks the hug with a small giggle* it's good to have you back home son
Barry:*smiles more* it feels good to be back I missed you Karen...Oh before I forget I do have a job so I'll be home late most nights
Karen:Really is that so what job does Barry Allen have it's your first day back and already have a job *hands out her orders* you really have changed
Barry:I guess you could say that but Star Labs we've been doing a lot of work it could bring back the light to Tree Hill...herd it's not the same anymore
Karen:Yes ever since that night weird and strange things started to happen but enough about that. You should go see your brother he's missed you
Barry:He was the next person I was gonna see then Keith, Haley, and Brooke...
When Barry said her name he seemed upset from what Karen could tell. So she decided it's been overdue it's time to give him some advice without him even asking for it, Karen is good at this sorta thing
Karen:Look Barry I don't know what happened between you and Brooke but what I do know is you need to be honest with her and yourself. If you don't you will never be able to express how you really feel and ether will she *kisses his cheek then gets back to work*
With that Barry leaves he starts running towards the HS as he's running memories flash through his head about him and Lucas. Seeing those memories just brings a smile on face when he does arrive at school he doesn't see anyone. Barry walks around the school and sees a door open to the library walking in closer he sees a familiar face with their face glued to their laptop screen
Barry:*sits down at the table and pushes down the top of the laptop closing it* You know staring that close to a screen can really hurt your eyesight
Haley:*gets frustrated and starts to look up* Who the hell do you th-
Barry:You don't remember this handsome face I'm hurt Hales *gives a small smirk*
Haley takes a good look at who is sitting infront of her. When it finally hits her it's her best friend Barry Allen in the flesh
Haley:Barry!? Oh my god how are you
Haley is quite shocked to say the least and gets out of her seat to give Barry a hug. She missed Barry he was and still is her best friend Tree Hill hasn't been the same without him.
Barry:I'm good Hales how have you been tell me what you've been up to
Haley:Well I remember the last time we talked I told you I got married, but other then that I've been writing for the school paper
Barry:It's glad to hear you're still writing and wanting to be a journalist I'm happy for you Hales
Haley:Thanks that means a lot, I'm working on this one story but not getting anywhere as of right now
Barry:Hope it works out for you, it's really good to see you hales
Haley:Now enough about me tell me what has Barry Allen been doing
Barry:Well besides having to stay in Central City for as long as I did cause of those test. I just did my school work online and been studying for college so I can be a CSI
Haley:That's amazing you still want to be a CSI I'm glad you haven't changed your mind about that. Barry Allen Tree Hills CSI had a really nice ring to it, oh have you seen Brooke yet?
Barry:No not yet I'm going to see her last...you know i hope she's excited to see me I've missed her so much
Haley:She will i promise Brooke will be thrilled to see you, you have no idea how much she misses you. What makes you think she won't?
Barry sighs at this and begins to explain to her he reached out by sending her a letter about how he really felt about her but he never got one back. Haley finds that strange she thought Brooke would've at least wrote him back she's definitely going to find out why she didn't.
Haley:I'm sorry to hear that but I will tell you she's going to be happy that you're back
Barry:It's alright Hales I think I'm going to start looking, for Lucas going to assume he's at basketball practice?
Haley:Yes but they're at that rundown gym that's a few blocks away you should see the Bus there, Whitey is putting them through the wringer *chuckles a bit*
He laughs at that and gives her hug before making his way out of the school and starts running towards where Haley told him to go. When he arrives he steps inside as the door creaks when closing, the basketball team and Whitey turn their heads towards the door.
Barry:The door could use some oil *trying his best not to smile wide*
Lucas:Barry Is that you?
Barry:Sure is Lucas it's me your favorite brother in the flesh *opens his arms offering a hug*
Lucas:*runs over to him and gives him a hug* Welcome back little brother
Whitey:God almighty as I live and breathe it's Barry Allen how you been son? *walks over to them*
Barry:I've been good Coach how's the season so far you guys gonna make it to nationals?
Whitey:That's the plan son would be much easier if you joined us you have a hell of a jumpshot
Barry:Thanks for the offer but I don't play anymore Coach moved onto better things
Whitey:*pats him on the back* That's alright son I'm just glad you're back home Tree Hill hasn't been the same
While Barry and Whitey were talking Lucas called over Nathan so he can reintroduce him and Barry.
Lucas:Nathan this is our brother Barry he's been gone for awhile but he's back for good now *places his hand on Barry's shoulder with a smile*
Nathan:Hey Barry *offers a handshake*
Barry:*takes it and shakes his hand* Hey Nathan herd a lot about you, I'm glad you make Haley happy she deserves it
Nathan:That's something we can agree on
Whitey tells the team including Lucas and Nathan to get back to practice, Lucas wanted to ask Barry something but before he could Barry's phone would ring
Barry:Sorry I have to take this *steps aside and answers it* Ya what's up- Woah woah slow down Cisco....alright I'll be right over
Lucas:Is everything ok little bro?
Barry:Ya just have to take care of something at my job, I'll catch you later
Before Barry left he gave Lucas a huge when he made it outside he rushes over towards Star Labs, the call he received from Cisco was warning Barry about a potential threat.
Barry:*appears in front of them as papers flew everywhere* So what's the news on this threat Cisco was warning me about?
Caitlin:This meta human Cisco picked up after you left as the powers to slow things down around him
Harrison:He has been robbing banks, museums, auctions you name he is there. It's been happening these past 3 months
Cisco:*figured out what to call this metahuman* TURTLE! We will call him Turtle it just fits so perfectly
Barry:*chuckles at this but then feels some guilt* None of this would've happened if we returned back to Tree Hill the sooner then what we did
Harrison:You don't know that Allen, plus you're more important then a random metahuman
He knows what Harrison is saying he was like this in central city before he agreed to him stopping crimes for experience. Harrison is to protective and can be selfish when it comes to Barry he doesn't know why he is that way just can't understand why Harrison is like that.
Caitlin:We're here now Barry don't worry we will catch him, try not to carry the whole world on your shoulders *smiles at him then gets back to work*
Cisco:In the meantime knowing his track record I'll start looking into auctions to see if there's any valuables that would peek his interest
Harrison:You Mr.Allen go home go enjoy being back with your family and friends we will handle things here
Barry runs out of Star Labs heading home. When got home he enjoyed a nice dinner with Karen and Lucas enjoying his time being back home but something else is on his mind.
Barry:Where's Keith I've been wanting to see him, didn't see him at the shop or anywhere around Tree Hill
Lucas and Karen look at each other knowing both of them are thinking the same thing. Don't inform Barry on what really happened they don't want him to worry he just got back home, they will tell him after he settles back into everything
Karen:Keith went on a vacation but don't worry Barr you will see him soon enough
Lucas:So for right now shouldn't you go be seeing your pretty girl?
Barry:I would love to but it's getting late plus does she even still live at the house with the red door?
Lucas:No her and Haley are roommates you still have some time I'm sure mom will allow it
Karen:Ya I don't mind just don't make it to long your first day of school is tomorrow already got you enrolled
He thanked Karen by giving her a hug as well hugging Lucas before excusing himself from the table. Lucas did tell him where Haley and Brooke live they also offered to give him a ride but he declined. When Barry makes it to their place he's a little nervous he hasn't talked to Brooke in a while so many thoughts are running through his head, he pushes them aside and knocks on the door. He wasn't expecting to see Haley to be the one opening the door
Haley:Barry what are you doing here?
Barry:I came to see Brooke is she here by any chance?
Haley:Ya come on in and make yourself at home I'll go get her
Barry walks into their apartment and takes a seat on the couch leaving Haley to go get Brooke. She knocks on her door, after hearing she can come in
Brooke:Hey who was at the door I was going to go get it but you beat me to it
Haley:That is a surprise they're in the living room but I'll give you guys some space
Brooke:What why who is it that just wanted to see me?
Haley:Go see for yourself
With that Brooke gets out of her bed and starts walking into the living when she did, she wasn't expecting to see Barry sitting there flashing a smile at her. Brooke is pretty surprised and takes a seat next to Barry
Barry:Hey pretty girl *can't stop smiling* I've missed you
Brooke:I've missed you to and that amazing smile of your handsome
Barry:it's so good to see you how have you been?
Brooke:*snickers a bit* Not the greatest but seeing you here....i think I'm starting to feel better already
Barry:What's wrong *places his hand on hers* I'm here now I'm not going anywhere you can talk to me
Brooke:Well I'm in the process of getting over a terrible breakup, trying to decide what I want to do with my life but I'm getting nowhere
Barry:I'm sorry Brooke it will get better i promise plus whoever decided to let you go is an idiot don't wast your time on them, they didn't deserve your love
Brooke:What makes you think they let me go I could've been the one to let them go
Barry:If there's one thing I know about you Brooke Davis is that when you fall in love you fall hard, putting your all into it, any guy would be lucky to have you
Brookes face turns a small shade a pink with her heart fluttering she hasn't heard anyone say that about her before. To change the subject before she starts to feel more embarrassed she asks him how is he doing.
Barry:Great I've been great I'm glad to be back home missed tree hill, central city just wasn't for me not a bad place just...
Brooke:it wasn't home?
Barry:Ya it wasn't more importantly Central City didn't have you
Brooke:*starts to blush and slaps his shoulder lightly* Barry stop you're embarrassing me I don't like to be embarrassed
Barry:Sorry sorry just saying the truth but can I ask you something?
Brooke:Ya sure what's the question that's been lingering in your mind that you've been dying to ask?
Barry:Why did you never write me back?
