The figure that had emerged to save Dinis from the Carniçais was unlike anything he had ever seen. Even amidst the chaos of the battle, his attention was briefly captured by the sight of that mysterious woman, her appearance both enchanting and intimidating. She had a magnetic presence, with a slender waist, well-defined legs, and a proportional bust, conveying both strength and grace. She wore a dark cloak that enveloped her body, partially concealing her face beneath the hood, but it was possible to glimpse a cold and penetrating gaze that shone through the shadows. Her pale skin stood out against the dark backdrop of the forest, and her eyes carried a fierce determination, a clear warning that she was not someone to be underestimated.
Dressed in lightweight leather armor and equipped with firmly fastened straps and buckles, the warrior displayed an arsenal of daggers and short weapons strapped to her belt, each detail meticulously planned to offer mobility and protection. It was obvious that she was a stealthy combatant, someone accustomed to moving in the shadows, prepared for battle as much as any Sentinel. And yet, there was an enigmatic touch about her that unsettled him. A mischievous smile appeared at the corner of her mouth as she, with a hint of provocation, questioned his ability.
But before he could respond, the woman launched herself into combat, moving with an astonishing speed towards the Carniçais still surrounding him. With calculated and lethal movements, she swiftly approached the first enemy, a creature roaring with fury. In a single fluid gesture, the warrior plunged her dagger into the Carniçal's neck, slashing his throat with precision. Blood splattered in an arc, and the creature let out a muffled scream before collapsing heavily to the ground.
Dinis watched the scene, impressed by the unknown woman's dexterity and strength. Her combat skills surpassed anything he had ever witnessed, and soon he understood that, despite her intimidating appearance, she was on his side. The battle raged fiercely, and with each passing second, Dinis and the warrior seemed to synchronize their movements, eliminating the Carniçais in a deadly dance of steel and blood.
One of the Carniçais advanced towards Dinis, its sharp claws ready to tear him apart. But before he could defend himself, the warrior was already there, swift as lightning. With an agile movement, she grabbed the Carniçal by the back and plunged her daggers deep into its torso, eliciting an agonizing scream from the creature. With a firm tug, she twisted the daggers and tore the creature's body apart, causing it to convulse mortally on the ground. The precision and brutality of her movements were terrifying, and Dinis knew at that moment that this woman possessed a strength and experience far beyond anything he had encountered thus far.
Without wasting time, Dinis focused on another Carniçal advancing towards him. With a quick and precise strike, he delivered a cut that severed one of the creature's arms before thrusting his sword directly into its chest, piercing it from side to side. The Carniçal let out an agonizing groan, and Dinis pushed the dead body aside, clearing the path for the next enemy. But before he could advance, the warrior passed by him in an agile movement, throwing another knife that lodged into the skull of a Carniçal attempting to attack them from behind.
Dinis realized that both of them were adapting to the rhythm of the combat, as if they had trained together their entire lives. The synchronization of their movements was instinctive, and together they advanced against the Carniçais, eliminating them one by one. Every strike, every cut was meticulously planned and executed with precision. She danced between the shadows and the enemies, moving with a dark and lethal grace.
Amid the fight, an especially fierce Carniçal lunged at the woman, its eyes gleaming with hatred and vengeance. It raised its claws to deliver a deadly attack, but she dodged with agility, spinning her body to the side and, in a swift movement, delivered a powerful kick to its chest, sending it flying backward. Before the creature could recover, she advanced again, thrusting a dagger into its jaw and pushing until the blade penetrated the back of its skull, silencing it forever.
Another Carniçal approached Dinis, attacking with an improvised blade. He blocked the strike with his sword and, in a fluid movement, delivered a cut that hit the creature's leg, causing it to fall to its knees. Without hesitation, Dinis seized the opportunity and decapitated the enemy with a quick strike, while blood sprayed into the air.
The fight continued to be brutal, but the number of Carniçais began to decrease rapidly. With each new assault, Dinis and the warrior eliminated more and more creatures, leaving a trail of bodies behind them. The synchronization between them was almost perfect, each instinctively understanding the other's movements. When a Carniçal got too close to her, Dinis intercepted it with a precise blow, and when it was surrounded, the woman moved with agility to create a path between the enemies, throwing her knives with deadly precision.
Amid one of these situations, a larger and more aggressive Carniçal tried to surprise Dinis from behind, raising an improvised spear with the intention of piercing him. Dinis quickly spun to dodge, but the blade grazed too close, leaving a shallow cut on his shoulder. Before he could retaliate, the warrior advanced like a shadow, spinning on her own axis and delivering a strike with her dagger to the creature's throat, which fell, suffocated in its own blood.
The intensity of the battle increased, but Dinis knew that with the support of that woman, victory was within reach. Finally, after long minutes of relentless fighting, the last Carniçal fell, with Dinis's blade embedded in its chest. He pulled the sword from the creature's body, panting but feeling triumphant.
As he turned to thank his mysterious ally, Dinis noticed that she had already lowered her hood, revealing a surprisingly beautiful and delicate face, with a fine nose and sharp features that gave her an almost ethereal beauty. Her eyes, however, were cold and sharp like blades, and a mischievous smile appeared on her face.
Dinis could hardly contain his surprise at that sight.
