Mike's hand holding the retro long sword trembled slightly. He had just exhaled a breath of hot air when a green figure suddenly landed close behind him. The ground around him sank under the impact of its heavy weight!
It was Abomination!
Mike's silver pupils shrank slightly. He immediately realized that throwing the car earlier had only been a distraction tactic!
He had underestimated Abomination!
Even with his right eye injured and filled with rage, his opponent had switched from recklessness to strategy—a move that most wouldn't expect!
Abomination's twisted and ferocious face contorted further as he landed, throwing a punch toward Mike's back!
The air exploded, wind pressure swirling wildly.
The retro long sword slipped from Mike's grasp and embedded itself in the ground as he and the Ghost Spider in his arms were struck and sent flying. They crashed through the outer wall, bursting into a building.
Cough! Cough!
Mike coughed, clutching the Ghost Spider tightly to protect her with his body against the impact.
Though the force was enough to crumble a tall building, Mike hadn't suffered any visible injuries.
Remembering something, Mike reached back to take off the vintage round shield he had been carrying. Faint energy ripples flowed across its dark gold surface, which quickly dimmed, leaving the shield unscathed.
"It's this shield." Mike's eyes lit up, realizing he had forgotten about this incredible defense.
The golden lasso, ancient sword, and this shield each held extraordinary powers. The shield's resilience confirmed its uniqueness, withstanding Abomination's immense strike!
It meant that his combat boots and bracelets might also have hidden abilities!
"Am I wearing a full set of divine gear?" Mike muttered, finally putting the pieces together.
He realized he couldn't simply escape with Ghost Spider anymore. To defeat the rampaging Abomination, he had to fully unleash the power of his inherited artifacts.
"You guys, stay here!"
In a dark corner of the building's second-floor hall where Mike had crashed, a man in a U.S. military uniform cowered in terror.
Mike recognized him instantly as the soldier Abomination had almost killed. Too terrified to escape, the soldier had hidden, hoping for reinforcements.
Without a second thought, Mike put Ghost Spider down on the sofa and told the soldier, "Take good care of her!"
The soldier nodded, glancing from Ghost Spider to Mike, who was holding the dark gold shield and preparing to leap back out of the second-floor window.
Watching from the window as Mike faced Abomination, the soldier's eyes widened in disbelief.
The soldier turned on his communicator with a shaky hand, reporting, "This is ground zero… our troops have been completely wiped out! There's a mysterious person fighting Abomination. Repeat, someone is fighting Abomination! Can anyone hear me?!"
In the burning streets outside, Mike appeared in front of Abomination, who was momentarily confused.
Despite Abomination's immense strength, his full-force punch had failed to kill Mike, even though it severely injured him.
Now, Mike was advancing. It was an affront Abomination could not bear.
With a roar of rage that echoed through the city's night sky, Abomination charged at Mike, abandoning all strategy and relying purely on brute strength!
As they closed in on each other, Mike's silver eyes were cold and unyielding, like an ancient god resurrected.
He made just one move—
Shield strike!
A green and silver figure collided in high-speed combat on the streets of Washington.
When the muscle-bound green fist struck the dark gold shield in Mike's hand, the soldier watching from a rooftop would never forget the scene.
The moment the fist met the shield, silence blanketed the entire street. The stillness was so absolute that one could hear their own heartbeat.
The next instant, a translucent shockwave exploded outward. The ground below peeled away, street lamps and windows shattered, and the debris-strewn street lay in total ruin!
It was like a modern missile blast, or a meteor striking the earth!
Though the soldier stood nearly thirty meters away, he was still blown off his feet, his ears ringing as he was tossed back into the building.
And this was only the beginning of their clash!
Abomination pressed his fist against the shield, intensifying his strength. The shield emitted a faint divine light, blocking the worst of the force. But even the remainder was enough to crack the ground beneath Mike's feet!
Mike used his shield to block Abomination's punch, his gaze flicking over the villain's arm to where his long sword lay embedded in the ground nearby.
Without his ancient sword, he couldn't break through Abomination's tough skin.
He held his ground, hoping to pass Abomination and retrieve his weapon.
Abomination seemed to guess Mike's plan and sneered as he brought down his other fist, cutting off any route of escape!
BANG!!
The cracked street surface finally gave way, forming a deep pit where Mike stood.
Despite the danger, Mike remained calm, standing firm with both hands holding his shield. Only this morning, he had been an ordinary student, and yet he now felt remarkably at ease.
Whether from his inherited divinity or something else, he felt he was meant to fight!
While blocking Abomination's relentless blows, Mike considered his options.
What else could serve as a weapon?
'That's right!'
As he thought this, Abomination released his fist and grabbed the shield instead, hammering his other hand at Mike's head.
Mike quickly released the shield with one hand and raised his arm as a last line of defense!
Abomination's huge fist slammed into Mike's arm—or rather, into the silver bracelet around his wrist!
Buzz!
A strange silver energy erupted from the bracelet, canceling out Abomination's attack!
"I knew it!" Mike felt elated.
Abomination, caught off guard, suddenly leaned forward, head-butting Mike and sending him flying across fifty meters.
Mike crashed into a car, the impact leaving the vehicle severely dented.
"Maybe this crown isn't meant for defense after all." Mike said wryly, removing the silver crown from his head, still undamaged despite the intense battle.
But as he examined the shape of the crown, an idea struck him. Could it possibly serve as a long-range weapon?
He threw the crown with force!
For a split second, he wondered if his aunt would kill him for this.
The crown turned into a small, deadly silver light that sliced through the air.
Abomination, caught mid-charge, suddenly froze, blood trickling from a wound over his left eye as the crown returned to Mike's hand.
Mike stared at the pristine crown, realizing it was not only an elegant accessory but also a deadly hidden weapon.
With both eyes bloodied, Abomination, now wild with rage, lunged at Mike.
Without hesitation, Mike crossed his wrists in front of him, the bracelets on each wrist clinking together.
An unexpected mechanism seemed to activate as the divine energy in his body surged, gathering at his crossed wrists.
Buzz!!
A powerful force exploded in front of Mike, sparing him but sending Abomination hurtling backward. The green monster was flung through building after building.
When his body finally stopped, battered and bloody, Abomination felt nothing but despair.
Can you imagine?
Thinking you're invincible at level 100, only to be beaten by a guy with a full set of divine gear!
Lying in a big letter shape on the rubble of the collapsed building, Abomination was unable to accept the fact that he would be the one knocked to the ground, despite his body being comparable to or even superior to the Hulk's.
This is the worst situation that could ever happen!
"Roar!"
It roared in hatred and anger, but even its roar seemed a little weak.
He want to tear that man to pieces, crush every piece of his flesh and bones into foam, and use his blood to avenge my own injured and humiliated appearance!
It thought of this with hatred, cruelty, and evil, but before it could get up again, its left eye covered in blood, it suddenly saw a bright light in its green vision!
Call out!!
The dust cloud that filled the ruins was pierced by the tip of the sword, and along with it, the sound barrier was shattered! The tip of the sword came first, followed closely by the sound of the sword breaking the sound barrier!
The Abomination reacted quickly and grabbed the sword, but the tip still reached its throat. The sharp retro sword broke through the tough skin and immediately pierced into the deep muscles, causing blood to spurt out!
It all happened so suddenly.
At that moment, Abomination saw the silver-haired boy rushing toward him.
"Do you think you're still the only hunter on the field?"
Mike's shoulder-length silver hair fluttered wildly behind him, and his eyes were filled with a cold hatred, devoid of any emotion.
The moment he chose to fight with his shield, the identities of hunter and prey were reversed! When he accidentally triggered his ability to shock away Abomination and took the retro longsword back into his hand, he seized the initiative in the battle at that moment.
