Chapter 25 - Gossip?

Seeing that Han Fei shared his opinion, Lee Zhong said, "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" and headed toward the large wooden door.

As Lee Zhong turned around and began walking toward the door about ten steps away, Han Fei silently followed behind him. However, before Han Fei could take a few steps, Da Bai called out from behind, "Young master! What about us? What should we do?"

Hearing the servant's voice, both Han Fei and Lee Zhong stopped walking at the same time and turned back toward the servants.

Thinking, 'I was so excited I forgot to give the servants their instructions,' Han Fei sighed and said, "You two will carry out the task we gave you. But first, go to the family leaders and inform them that we've begun our mission."

"Yes, you remember the task, don't you?" Lee Zhong interjected with a serious expression before the servants could respond.

Sensing the serious expressions of their young masters and especially the intimidating aura radiating from Lee Zhong, the servants Da Bai and Bo An nervously replied in unison, "We remember, young master!"

"Good. Then you two carry out the instructions, and the rest of you follow us," Lee Zhong said with a satisfied look as he addressed the group before turning back toward the door and walking again.

From behind, Han Fei called out, "Brother Lee Zhong, you go ahead and open the door wide enough for the carriage to pass through. I'll handle the horses."

As Lee Zhong reached the door, he simply raised his hand in a silent gesture without turning back, responding to Han Fei's words.

Seeing Lee Zhong's gesture, Han Fei turned to the servants and said, "Why are you two still standing there? And you lot? Stop standing around idly and move the carriage toward the door, quickly!" Then, he walked toward the large wooden stable door for the final time.

Hearing the young master's orders, the two servants left to carry out their assigned tasks, while the remaining twenty or so servants followed Han Fei, pulling the horse-drawn carriage.

About a minute later, just outside the northern door of the stables, the two young masters stood inside an impressive wooden carriage pulled by four majestic horses. Armed with weapons and clad in armor, they made a final check to ensure everything was in order.

With a wild grin on his face, Lee Zhong said, "Hahaha! Wait for us, Wu dogs!" While Han Fei, his face serious, turned to his men and asked, "Is everyone ready?"

"Yes, young master," one of the men replied, raising his head to look up at Han Fei, who stood tall atop the carriage.

Hearing the servant's reply, Han Fei nodded. "Hmmm. Then let's move out. Follow us," he said, before turning his gaze forward and firmly gripping the reins of the horses.

Seeing Han Fei holding the reins with a serious expression, looking toward the direction of the town center, Lee Zhong abruptly stopped laughing. With a calm expression, he turned to Han Fei and said, "Let's go!"

"HYAAAHHH!"

As the group proceeded toward the town lord's manor at a pace neither too fast nor too slow, two figures who had left the Han family earlier were walking toward the Lee family house with cloth bags on their backs.

One of the figures, a 15-year-old boy with a plump appearance, was the Han family's second young master. The other figure, a 19-20-year-old young woman with long black hair flowing down to her waist, was the only daughter of the Han family leader, possessing an excellent figure.

"Han Fang! Why are you rushing? What's the hurry?" The young woman, tired of her younger brother's hasty behavior throughout the evening, called out from behind the plump boy.

"Big sis, we don't have time! Didn't I tell you chaos is about to erupt? We need to talk to Father and Big Brother before things get out of hand," Han Fang replied, panting as he struggled to walk quickly with all the items he was carrying, not even turning back to look at his sister who was trying to catch up from behind.

"You've been saying chaos is about to erupt for an hour now, and you still haven't explained anything. We packed in such a rush. What is going on?" The young woman, dissatisfied with Han Fang's vague response, spoke again.

"Big sis, this isn't the time. You'll find out when we get there. We're almost there, so let's hurry," Han Fang replied without stopping.

Out of breath, the young woman wiped the sweat from her forehead and thought, 'If this is a joke, just wait and see what I'll do to you.' Aloud, she said, "Alright, fine!"

A few minutes later, out of breath, the two siblings arrived at the Lee family house. After showing their name tags to the guards at the main door, Han Fang asked, "Do you know where Han Fei from the Han family is?"

The guards looked at each other as if to say, "I don't know, do you?" One of them finally said, "I don't know where young master Han Fei is, but the Han family leader was last seen in the guest room with our family leader."

"Hmmm. Alright, thank you," Han Fang said to the guard before turning to his sister. "Come on, sis, let's find Father," he said.

As the two siblings headed toward the inner areas of the Lee family house, the same guard shouted after them, "You can ask one of the servants to take you there!"

The other guards looked at the shouting guard as if he were an idiot, but the two young siblings continued walking inside.

When they reached the inner parts of the house, Han Fang approached a group of people who seemed to be gathered, discussing something briefly. "Do you know where the Han family leader is?" he asked.

While Han Fang thought, 'These must be the Lee family's servants,' everyone in the group stopped talking and turned toward Han Fang.

The servants, wearing different expressions on their faces, stared silently at Han Fang for a moment before suddenly scattering in all directions.

Han Fang, shocked and at a loss for words, watched as his sister grabbed one of the fleeing female servants by the arm.

"Kyaaa!" The startled servant let out a small scream and fell onto her rear. Hearing the noise, Han Fang turned back and, seeing the servant on the ground, asked his sister in surprise, "Sis, what did you do?"

"I didn't do anything. I just grabbed her arm to stop her, and she must have gotten scared and fallen," she replied.

The servant, who appeared to be in her 30s, winced as she rubbed her sore rear. Han Fang approached and offered his hand to help her up.

Though slightly startled at first, the servant took Han Fang's hand and stood up with his help.

After waiting for the servant to dust herself off, Han Fang's sister looked at her and asked, "Why did all of you suddenly run off? Did you think we'd harm you?"

The servant, hearing the beautiful young woman's question, waved her hands in denial. "No, no! We were just afraid of being caught gossiping and getting punished."

"Gossiping?"

"Punished?"

The two siblings, focusing on different parts of what the servant said, spoke one after the other with confused expressions.

A few seconds later, Han Fang smiled faintly and said, "My name is Han Fang, and this is my sister. We're here to find our father, the Han family leader. They said he's in the guest area." Then, with a curious expression, he added, "Can you take us there? And maybe share a bit about this gossip?"
