Asta swung his newly acquired sword with precision, his movements sharp and fluid.

The weight of the blade, though foreign, felt almost natural in his hands now after practice.

Sparks of anti-magic flickered along its edge as he practiced strikes against invisible enemies in the open training ground.

Sweat dripped down his brow, but his focus never wavered.

He was interrupted by Finral's cheerful voice cutting through the sound of his practice.

"Asta! Hey, I've got just the thing to lighten up your day. There's a mixer tonight! Come on, you've gotta join. It's full of lovely ladies, and with your charm, you might just—"

Asta held up a hand, his face uncharacteristically serious. "Sorry, Finral. Not interested."

Finral blinked in surprise. "What? You're turning down a mixer? Are you feeling okay?"

"I'm fine," Asta replied, resting his sword and meeting Finral's gaze. "I just… have other things on my mind."

Finral stared for a moment, then shrugged, clearly confused but not one to push. "Alright, your loss. Don't come crying to me when you regret it!" With a dramatic wave, he left.

As soon as Finral was out of sight, Asta's expression shifted, and an idea struck him.

A smile tugged at his lips as he sprinted toward the inner training grounds.

He found Noelle practicing with Vanessa, the two women locked in an intense sparring session.

Noelle's water magic spiraled around her in disciplined arcs, her movements precise and controlled.

Vanessa offered guidance now and then, her casually drunk demeanor contrasting with Noelle's fiery determination.

Asta stopped short, leaning against the walls of the baee, his gaze fixed on Noelle.

There was something captivating about her focus, her dedication.

His heart thudded slightly harder as he watched, a dazed look crossing his face.

Vanessa eventually noticed him, a sly smile creeping onto her lips as she nudged Noelle mid-spell.

Noelle nearly stumbled but quickly regained her footing, annoyed. "What was that for, Vanessa?!"

"Nothing, nothing," Vanessa said with a knowing look as she walked past Asta.

She gave him a subtle wink and mouthed, Good luck, before leaving the training ground.

Asta straightened, suddenly aware of Noelle's eyes on him.

She looked flushed from training, her hair slightly disheveled, but her sapphire eyes were as sharp as ever.

"What are you doing here, A-asta?" she asked ever the tsundere, crossing her arms but unable to hide her curiosity.

Asta rubbed the back of his neck, his confidence wavering for the first time that day. "I, uh… I wanted to ask you something."

Noelle raised an eyebrow, but her expression softened as Asta hesitated.

Taking a deep breath, Asta finally said, "Noelle, would you… like to go on a date with me? I mean, I understand if it's too soon or if you're not ready, but I thought—"

Noelle's face turned a deep shade of red, steam practically rising from her head.

Her mind scrambled to find her usual biting response, but the genuine sincerity in Asta's tone and expression completely disarmed her.

"I-I… uh… yes," she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'd like that."

As soon as the words left her lips, Noelle's knees buckled, and she collapsed to the ground in a faint.

Asta's eyes widened, and he quickly rushed to her side. "Noelle! Are you okay?"

Her only response was a soft groan, her cheeks still flushed.

Asta couldn't help but smile, his heart feeling lighter than it had some time ago.

"Guess I'll take that as a yes," he muttered to himself, gently holding her in a princess carry.

---

Asta stood in his room, staring at the sleek black "suit" that hung on the back of his chair.

It was a gift from his father, as Liebe called him. Asta hadn't worn it since the day it was handed to him, Nero's voice echoing in his mind: "This is for when you truly want to make an impression. Don't waste it."

Today felt like one of those days.

"Alright," Asta muttered, gripping the suit. "Here goes nothing."

After a few minutes of fumbling and struggling, Asta stood in front of the mirror, the suit fitting surprisingly well.

The black fabric clung to his form perfectly, accentuating his build while maintaining an air of refinement.

The subtle silver accents along the cuffs and lapels gave it an understated elegance, and the tie—which had given him no end of grief—finally sat neatly in place.

He turned slightly, inspecting himself with wide eyes. "Wow... do I really look this good?"

Liebe, perched in his chibi form on Asta's shoulder, crossed his tiny arms and smirked. "You don't look that bad. Though it's weird seeing you all dressed up like this. You're usually covered in dirt or sweat."

"Hey!" Asta exclaimed, twisting to glare at Liebe, almost knocking him off in the process. "I asked if I look good, not if I look less bad!"

Liebe rolled his eyes, gripping Asta's collar for balance. "Fine, fine. You look... decent. Maybe even good. Happy?"

Asta exhaled and straightened the tie again. "I don't know, though. Should I leave the shirt open a bit? Or button it up? Does the tie look weird? Maybe I should just ditch it!"

Liebe groaned as Asta started pacing back and forth, adjusting his outfit every few seconds. "For the love of—Asta, it's fine! Stop overthinking this!"

"But this is important!" Asta exclaimed, spinning toward the mirror again. "What if she thinks I look stupid? What if I mess up the date? What if I—"

Liebe smacked him on the head, snapping him out of his panic. "First of all, calm down. Second, Noelle already likes you, idiot. She said yes, didn't she? You could show up in your battle clothes, and she'd still think you're the same Asta."

Asta paused, his nervous expression softening. "You think so?"

Liebe sighed, a small smile tugging at his lips. "Yeah, I do. But... since you've got this dress, you might as well knock her socks off, right?"

Asta grinned, his confidence starting to return. "Yeah, you're right! I'll do my best!"

Liebe shook his head as Asta turned back to the mirror, his excitement now overtaking his nerves.

"Just don't trip over your own feet, suit boy."

"Don't jinx it!" Asta shot back, laughing as he gave one final look in the mirror.

The suit might have felt out of place on him at first, but now, standing there with Liebe by his side, Asta felt ready.

Ready to step out of his comfort zone, to take a leap—and to show Noelle a side of him he'd never shown anyone else before.

---

Noelle stood awkwardly in her room, glancing nervously at Vanessa and Charmy, who had taken complete control of her evening preparations.

She had never expected Charmy to abandon her usual eating spree for anything, let alone to play dress-up, but here she was, orchestrating the process with an almost terrifying level of enthusiasm.

Vanessa held up two dresses—one lavender, the other a rich midnight blue. "Alright, Noelle. These are your options. You want something that says elegant but approachable. Which one speaks to you?"

Before Noelle could respond, Charmy waved her hands dramatically, her cotton magic springing to life in the form of swirling threads. "Wait! You can't even think about picking a dress yet. First, we need to clean her up properly."

Noelle blinked in alarm as the cotton formed a fluffy cloud around her. "Wait, what are you—"

"Relax, Princess!" Charmy interrupted with a cheerful grin. "You're getting the Charmy Cotton Bath Deluxe. This'll make your skin so radiant Asta won't know what hit him!"

The magical cotton swept over Noelle in a gentle, cleansing wave.

It was surprisingly warm, and Noelle found herself relaxing despite her initial protests.

When the magic dissipated, she caught sight of her reflection in the mirror and froze.

Her skin looked luminous, soft, and flawless, as though she'd stepped out of a painting.

Vanessa tilted her head, clearly impressed. "Charmy, you're really outdoing yourself today."

"Of course!" Charmy said, puffing out her chest with her chibi enthusiasm.

"Asta's going to fall over himself when he sees her!"

Noelle's face turned crimson. "T-this is too much. I can just go in my usual—"

"Absolutely not," Vanessa said firmly, cutting her off. "This is your first date, Noelle. You're not just going to show up in your normal clothes ."

With that, Vanessa pulled a sleek black dress from her bag—a stunning piece embroidered with golden designs along the hem and bodice, delicate yet bold.

She draped it over Noelle's shoulders, guiding her into it with practiced ease.

"This one's perfect," Vanessa said, stepping back to admire her handiwork. "It's simple, elegant, and makes you look like the noble you are."

Charmy wasn't done, though. She rummaged through a pile of accessories, pulling out a small, flower-adorned hairband and a silver necklace adorned with a sparkling blue gemstone. "These will complete the look!" she declared, placing the hairband carefully on Noelle's head and fastening the necklace around her neck.

Noelle glanced at herself in the mirror, her breath catching.

The black dress fit her perfectly, the golden designs catching the light beautifully.

The flower hairband added a touch of softness, and the necklace gleamed like a star at her throat.

"Wow," Vanessa said, a grin spreading across her face. "You look really pretty , Noelle."

Charmy nodded enthusiastically. "Asta's going to faint!"

Noelle's face burned. "This feels... too much," she murmured, fidgeting with the hem of the dress embarresed a bit.

Vanessa placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Trust me, you look amazing. And don't think of this as just about impressing Asta. Think of it as celebrating yourself. You deserve to feel good about this."

Charmy added, "And if Asta doesn't appreciate it, I'll make sure he regrets it!"

Despite herself, Noelle smiled at their support.

She turned back to the mirror, taking in her reflection with a mix of nervousness and excitement.

She had faced battles, nobles, and enemies, but this somehow felt like the most daunting challenge yet.

"Alright," she finally said, straightening her back. "Let's do this."

Vanessa and Charmy cheered, ushering her toward the door.

Vanessa gave her a sly wink as they opened it. "Go knock him out, Princess."

Noelle stepped out into the hallway, her heart pounding, her resolve steeling itself for what lay ahead.

---

The agreed meeting place was the most lavish restaurant in the Clover Kingdom, Die Goldene Seele (The golden Soul), owned by the prestigious Soul Knights.

Its grand arched entrance gleamed in the moonlight, adorned with intricate carvings and gilded filigree.

Noelle stood near the entrance, her heart racing as she adjusted the hem of her elegant black dress with gold designs.

The delicate flower hairband and the blue gemstone necklace she wore shimmered softly, but even their brilliance couldn't match the nervous sparkle in her eyes.

She glanced at the ornate clock by the entrance, wondering if Asta was running late.

Her thoughts spiraled—What if he changed his mind? What if I look ridiculous in this dress?—when a familiar voice called out from behind her.

"You look... incredible tonight, Noelle."

She turned, her breath catching in her throat as Asta stepped into view. He was wearing a sleek black suit with subtle, elegant lines, the kind of outfit that seemed tailored for him in every sense.

His face was slightly red as he stood there, looking both awestruck and awkward, a wide grin plastered across his face.

Noelle opened her mouth to respond but was too flustered to form coherent words.

Instead, Asta stepped forward, his usual boyish energy replaced by something surprisingly composed.

He took her hand gently in his own and, with a slight bow, kissed the back of it.

"I mean it," he said softly, his eyes meeting hers. "You're stunning."

Noelle's face turned beet red, steam practically rising from her head. She stammered, "Y-you... um, look really h-handsome too..." Her voice trailed off into a whisper, and for a moment, all she could do was stare at the boy who had somehow managed to look both noble and utterly endearing at the same time.

Asta straightened, scratching the back of his head with his free hand, his cheeks just as red as hers. "Sorry, I thought that was what nobles do. Did I mess it up?"

"No, it's fine!" Noelle said quickly, her voice a little too loud.

She cleared her throat and glanced away, unable to look directly at him without her heart skipping a beat.

The awkward tension between them lingered for a moment before they turned to enter the restaurant for dinner before heading out on other things

Inside, Die Goldene Seele was nothing short of breathtaking.

Crystal chandeliers cast a soft glow over the room, while enchanted fountains bubbled gently in the center, their water shimmering with faint magical light.

The scent of fresh flowers filled the air, and a small ensemble played a delicate melody in the corner.

As soon as they stepped in, the host greeted them with a deep bow. "Welcome, young Master Asta and Lady Noelle. We have been eagerly awaiting your arrival."

Asta blinked in confusion, leaning over to whisper to Noelle, "Uh, did they just call me 'Young Master'?"

Noelle rolled her eyes, a small smile tugging at her lips. "It's because of your father. Everyone treats you like royalty."

"Still weird," Asta muttered.

The host led them to a table in the center of the room, which was adorned with fresh roses and set with golden cutlery on fine silk tablecloths.

The position offered the perfect view of the magical fountains, their soft glow creating an enchanting atmosphere.

As they sat down, the host bowed again. "We have been instructed to ensure this is the most memorable evening for you both. Please do not hesitate to ask for anything you require."

Noelle felt her cheeks warm again as she sat down, her hands fiddling nervously with the hem of her dress. "This is... a lot," she said quietly.

Asta nodded, his smile just as nervous as hers. "Yeah, but let's make the most of it. I mean, it's not every day we get treated like this."

They exchanged a glance, and for the first time that evening, the tension began to melt away.

A quiet laugh escaped them both.
