Chapter 15 - Whispers of Truth Human World: Luna’s Despair

Luna DeGrace sat at her office desk, her mind far from the project reports and blueprints sprawled before her. Her company had just completed testing their latest weapon—a prototype designed to bolster humanity's defenses in the upcoming war. Aron, the lead engineer, had tested it successfully, but Luna's heart wasn't in the celebration.

Her thoughts were consumed by Leo's mysterious disappearance. Months had passed, and there had been no news, no clues. The silence gnawed at her, leaving a void she couldn't fill.

"I can't just sit here anymore," Luna muttered, clenching her fists. "If anyone knows what happened to Leo, it's King Lucus."

Without hesitation, she called her trusted messenger. The man arrived promptly, bowing respectfully. "Lady DeGrace, how may I assist you?"

"I need to contact King Lucus immediately," Luna said firmly. "He may know something about Leo."

The messenger hesitated, clearly uncomfortable. "My lady, King Lucus is a reclusive figure. He only meets with those he chooses. You would require his direct permission to meet him."

Luna's frustration boiled over. "Then send him a message. Tell him I need to know if he has any information about Leo. Please."

The messenger nodded reluctantly. "I will deliver your message, but I cannot guarantee a response."

As the messenger left, Luna slumped back in her chair, feeling helpless. "Leo… where are you?"

King Lucus's Revelation

The messenger arrived at the royal palace, nervous under the weight of Luna's request. When he conveyed the message to King Lucus, the king listened carefully, his expression unreadable.

"So, Luna seeks answers about Leo," King Lucus said, his voice heavy with thought.

"Yes, Your Majesty," the messenger replied. "Shall I inform her of anything you know?"

Lucus waved his hand dismissively. "No. Leave that to me. I will contact my granddaughter, Lisa. Perhaps she has found some clue."

The messenger bowed and stepped aside, staying nearby out of curiosity.

King Lucus closed his eyes, his ominous telepathic abilities activating. Across dimensions, his voice reached Lisa, who was still in the Demon World.

In the Demon World: King Lucus and Lisa

Lisa was traveling through the Demon World's treacherous terrain when she suddenly heard the familiar, commanding voice of King Lucus in her mind.

"Lisa, report," the king demanded.

Lisa stopped in her tracks, startled. "Grandfather? How did you find me?"

"That's irrelevant," he said curtly. "Why are you in the Demon World? You were supposed to be in the Vampire Nation."

Lisa hesitated but quickly explained. "I was captured by Valentine's army. I managed to manipulate him with false stories and secure a position in his castle. While there, I encountered someone named Leon. He looks like Leo, but I'm not certain."

King Lucus's tone sharpened. "Describe him."

Lisa recalled the moments she had seen Leon's power. "He possesses a mysterious elemental energy I've never seen before. It feels dark… almost unnatural."

A heavy silence followed before King Lucus spoke again. "That is Leo. He is alive."

Lisa's heart skipped a beat. "What? That's impossible. He's a vampire, not human! How could he—"

"Leo must have been turned permanently," Lucus interrupted. "What's more, he's allied with Diablo, the Demon Commander. I need you to confirm his intentions. What is he planning?"

Lisa hesitated. "He and Diablo are working together to obtain the Dark Angel Sword. They plan to challenge both the Demon King and Valentine."

King Lucus's voice darkened. "This changes everything. You must follow them, Lisa. Keep an eye on Leo and ensure he does nothing that could endanger our world. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Grandfather," Lisa replied, her voice trembling.

"Good. Do not fail me." The connection severed, leaving Lisa shaken.

Luna's Discovery

Back in the human world, Luna, wearing a pair of advanced headphones linked to the messenger's hacked phone, listened intently to the entire exchange between King Lucus and Lisa. Her hands trembled as she pieced together the truth: Leo was alive but had been turned into a vampire. He was now in the Demon World, embroiled in a dangerous plot.

Tears streamed down her face as relief and despair collided. "Leo… you're alive," she whispered. "But what have you become?"

Determined to act, she wiped her tears away. "I won't let you face this alone. I'll find a way to help you, no matter what it takes."

Lisa and the Young Warrior

Lisa returned to the small house where the young boy, Leo, had helped her recover. As she prepared to leave, the boy approached her, gripping his sword tightly.

"I'm coming with you," he declared.

Lisa frowned. "It's too dangerous. Stay here."

"I heard everything," the boy said. "You're looking for the Demon Commander, right? I know his location. I can take you there."

Lisa hesitated. "Why would you want to help me?"

The boy's eyes burned with determination. "Because I want to defeat the Demon King. I left my home to train here for that very reason. If the Demon Commander can lead me to him, I'll face him."

Lisa studied the boy, impressed by his resolve. "Fine. But don't slow me down."

The boy grinned. "I won't."

With that, the two set off, heading toward Diablo's mansion. Unbeknownst to them, forces far greater than they could imagine were already moving, and their paths were destined to cross with Leo and his companions.

Meanwhile, at Diablo's Mansion

Leon, Diablo, and Viola were deep in discussion about their next steps.

"The Dark Angel Sword is the key," Diablo said. "But its chamber is guarded by more than just soldiers. Traps, ancient wards, and the Demon King's curses stand in our way."

Leon leaned back, his expression thoughtful. "We'll need to outsmart them. Strength alone won't be enough."

Viola nodded. "And what about Lisa? She's still out there, following us."

Leon's eyes darkened. "If she becomes a threat, we'll deal with her. For now, the sword is our priority."

As the night deepened, the group finalized their plans, unaware that Lisa and the young warrior were closing in—and that Luna was beginning to make moves of her own from the human world.
