Aimee Bradley, killed by Katherine Pierce to make a point to Stefan. I remember her but I also remember that she had a crush on Matt, something that pissed off a recently turned Caroline.
Though, it seems that Matt is no longer the target of her affection. His loss. We're currently at the Mystic Grill; the restaurant/cafe/bar. It's a popular spot for teenagers and young adults, or so she says.
"So you're telling me that in this entire town, this is the only place I can come to get something to eat?" I asked, befuddled.
"That's not what I meant. There are other places you could go to." She said with a giggle. "That is if you're okay with sloppy food and even sloppier service." she added.
"That's fair I guess." I admit.
A quick look around shows me that the place is near full capacity and is still brimming with activity. We're at a table in the corner so I have quite the view.
"So, why did you move to Mystic Falls?" Aimee asked, her eyes not leaving mine.
"It's nothing for any special reason, I can tell you that." I say with a laugh that she mirrored. "New Orleans was fun but I just wanted a change of pace from the whole big city thing."
"Do you miss it?" She asked.
That was easy. "Not really. This town is interesting and so are the people in it." I said, giving her a smirk.
I see the smile on her face grow wider.
"So, what about you? Any interesting backstories I should know about? Secret military training? A crazy ex who's going to haunt me for hanging out with you?" I joked, though the last one could be a valid concern considering how I died.
"No, nothing like that." She couldn't resist the laughter as she answered. "I've been here my whole life and honestly, I'm quite comfortable here."
"I get that."
Why is Vicki Donovan staring at me?
-[Damon]-
"This isn't happening." He muttered, it couldn't be.
A distressed Stefan and Elena sat in the living room with him while going over the most recent problem.
"How is this even possible? I staked her and she died. You buried her." Stefan pointed out, equally confused.
Elena's dear friend, Matt, had told them that they found Vicki in the woods. That was something he already knew from his impromptu meeting with Liz but it didn't answer the question; how did it happen?
"I don't know but she knows about us. After what happened, my best guess is that she's going to want revenge." Damon said with a groan. "She could expose us both."
"Then why hasn't she?" Stefan asked. That was another good question that hadn't been answered yet.
"For all we know she could be plotting something. I killed her junkie friends, Stefan killed her, and you forbade her from dating Jeremy after dumping her brother. Five bucks says she's not baking cookies." Damon said, aiming the last part at Elena who frowned.
"What are we going to do?" She asked, just as lost as Stefan was.
"Let me tell you what I'm not going to do. I'm not going to wait on my ass until she decides to expose us?" He pointed out, turning to leave only for Stefan to speed in front of him.
"What are you going to do, kill her?" Stefan asked.
"Yes." Without hesitation.
"You can't just kill her, not again!" Elena complained.
Damon only turned around with a smirk. "Watch me."
"She's right. You killing her now is only going to draw more attention to vampires." Stefan argued, causing him to shake his head.
"Sorry to break it to you two but she's already brought attention. The guy who found her said that a vampire was about to feed on her when he got to her." He revealed, watching their expressions shift.
"Nathan knows about vampires?" Elena muttered in confusion.
"I'll do you one better, he kills them." Damon added, causing Stefan to sigh before a look of confusion grew on Elena.
"Wait a minute. If he kills vampires then why didn't he kill Vicki? She's a vampire." She pointed out, causing the Salvatore brothers to pause.
"Maybe he didn't know." Stefan tried to say but even he didn't believe that.
"Oh come on, she was a druggie before she turned and that only made her blood cravings worse. She would have fed on him the moment she laid eyes on him." He said, tossing away his brother's excuse.
"Except that since she got back, we haven't heard about anything strange and Matt doesn't seem spooked so she hasn't fed on him either." Stefan argued.
"Maybe she's drinking animal blood like you tried to teach her." Elena added.
Honestly, these two were delusional.
"Well it's either that or…" his words trailed off. Nope, it wasn't possible. It couldn't be.
"Or she's human again." Stefan finished the sentence for him.
"How is that possible?" Elena asked, her head spinning from all of this information.
"It's not. That's the problem. It looks like your new classmate is more interesting than he's letting on." He said, a thoughtful look on his face. "Let's also not forget the fact that there was another vampire which could only mean that the tomb spell failed and the vampires trapped there are loose."
Heading towards the door once more, he paused as Stefan called out to him. "Where are you going?"
"First of all, I'm going to take a peek at the tomb. Then I'm going to get some answers out of your friend." Damon said.
"Damon don't do anything stupid." His brother warned but that only made him smirk.
"We'll see."
-[Elizabeth Forbes]-
Of all the problems that she was handling and dealing with in Mystic Falls, this one threw her for a loop. Not because it was a hard case, but because it was too unusual.
She couldn't even fathom how it could be connected to anything.
Who would steal the Wickery Bridge sign and why? They couldn't sell it so what could they gain from it?
-[Nathan]-
Strolling into my apartment under an invisibility spell, I lock the door just before dumping the Wickery Bridge sign near the wall, whistling a merry tune as I do so.
Why did I take the sign? White Oak of course. Rebekah, Klaus' sister, would eventually find out that the bridge was made from the white oak tree that grew here long ago and burn said bridge.
I thought about removing some pieces of the bridge itself before settling for the sign which was also made from white oak. Not only was it easier to carry but it wouldn't destabilize the bridge so it's a win-win for me.
Sure, that leaves me with a limited amount of wood but if I can pull off what I have in mind, I'll have an infinite amount of white oak on call at any moment.
I'll take a page from Emiya's book. Trace on and all that.
