While Gabriel had headed to the cafeteria to have his lunch, Orion took a mouthful of every item. The taste was somewhat mild and favored his palate.
Once done, he cleanly wiped his lips, and the secretary too had arrived at the office. Orion wrapped up the box and then checked his schedule.
"Let's go shopping," he said, without any prior plans.
Eh? Helle had eyes enlarged and gave him a side eye while packing up the box.
"Sure, but will it be okay if you leave in the middle of your work though?" Helle asked in confusion. Although the bento she had brought was eaten to every last granule, she had her doubts. Won't it leave a bad impression on the workers if the director slacks off?
"I'm done with my work a long time ago. These are the revisions for my employees." He had a devilish grin, oozing out evilness. The evil boss!
Her comical reaction was right at her face, like an open book.
"I can sense your intent from miles away." Orion rolled his eyes and got up from his seat while positioning his necktie. "Let's go now."
Gabriel gave a weak smile to the couple as they left. Although Helle felt apologetic, they still entered the private elevator, which was spacious and luxurious. Orion pressed the button for the basement, and in a few seconds, they arrived at the car park.
"Where are we going?" She asked while getting into the back seat. Although she wasn't used to such a life, she had grown more comfortable.
"To buy an engagement dress." He stated simply and accelerated the car.
Although it would have been best to deny, Helle was surprised by her wondrous brazenness. If it was for free and within the contract articles, then why should she be guilty? In her lifetime, she might never get to enjoy such luxuries after these six months.
"Let's have a matching style for the engagement then?" Her voice was low, and her eyes were earnest. A hint of curiosity, and yet her body was swayed to the side of the window to show her
nonchalant side.
"Eh? Sure" He made sure to look in the mirror to see her expressions. A snort left his lips and continued to drive through downtown. In about ten minutes, they arrived at the famous boutique where countless celebrities sew their custom gowns, and it was especially famous among the young heirs for its elegant designs.
Orion got out of the diver's seat, opened the door for Helle, and took her hands.
"What type of dress do you want to have?" Tucking her hand in his arms, they walked like any other loving couple inside the store.
"Something out of a fantasy novel?" It was a simple joke, which Orion had failed to understand as only Helle giggled.
Several mannequins greeted them at the front. They wore silk gowns, and some had extravagantly big hats. Walking inside, a subtle scent of chrysanthemum lingered in the air. The walls were peachy, and each type of clothing was selectively kept in different rows.
A young woman walked towards them and greeted them, "Welcome. How may I help you?"
"We are searching for engagement gowns. Could you show us your best collections?" Orion answered, and the woman nodded. She gave a peek at Helle before walking them towards another room, which was upstairs.
While the couple took a seat on the leather couch, the worker brought about three different gowns, which were carefully wrapped.
"These are from the spring collection of this year. This is spring meadow, endless happiness, and this is tears of petals."
All three gowns were breathtaking. The spring meadow had a deep forest green color and had handmade embroidery of the spring flowers. The endless happiness was in a lemon yellow with a few butterflies decorated. Tears of petals were in deep peach with full sleeves. A plethora of flower petals were embroidered on the gown.
"They're all very gorgeous," Helle whispered, unable to choose amongst the gowns. Each gown had a distinct charm, but even amongst them, the tears of petals touched her heart.
"Is there a matching suit for tears of petals?" she asked out of curiosity while carefully looking at its details.
"We don't, ma'am, but we do have a few suits that could go well with it. Shall I bring them?" The woman asked.
"Sure"
The worker took away other gowns and headed to the storehouse.
"Do you think it's good?" She asked while picking up the dress from the table. It was beautiful, but would it look good on her?
"It is." He kept it should while scrolling through his phone. It was clear as the tall mountains that Orion had lied about having finished his work early on.
The worker brought a few sets, but one of them was different from the rest. The black suit had a cape that had golden embroidery at the back. It was full of Christmas rose designs.
"It seems that you like this one, ma'am? Well, it's the latest piece for our winter collection, and it's the only piece. It's called the black rose." she explained.
Helle's eyes gleamed. She couldn't wait to see Orion in it after all; He'd enhance its beauty a hundred times.
"What do you say?" It looks so amazing, right?" Helle showed the suit to Orion. He gave his nod, and it was now time for the fitting. The fitting took them a while, especially finalizing the end designs and such.
By the time they left the shop, Helle's tummy had started to grumble silently, and the day had changed itself from bright baby blue to a hue of orange. Orion was at the counter paying the bill while Helle got out to get some fresh air.
"It's getting late," Helle commented. Many people had started to return home, and the road had gotten crowded with vehicles. The niche of time went on, and it waited for no one, and the little birds in the nests had started to grow without realization.
