Chapter 16 - Rack, The False

---

The sun shone brightly over Earth, illuminating the familiar landscape that the Z Fighters had fought so hard to protect. Goku and Vegeta were deep in training, enjoying the tranquility that had settled over the world since their last battle. It was a rare moment of peace, one they cherished after countless conflicts.

As they trained in the fields outside Capsule Corp, a strange energy suddenly rippled through the air. Goku paused mid-punch, looking toward the horizon. "Vegeta, do you feel that?" he asked, tilting his head in curiosity.

Vegeta narrowed his eyes, sensing the unfamiliar presence. "Yes. It's strong, but it doesn't feel hostile. Not yet, anyway."

Moments later, a portal tore open in the sky, and a figure stepped through, tall and regal. His skin was a deep purple, and his eyes gleamed with intelligence and warmth. Goku's eyes widened in recognition. "Hey, he looks a lot like Beerus!"

"Who are you?" Vegeta called out, crossing his arms defensively.

The figure smiled warmly. "Greetings, Earthlings! I am Rack, the brother of Beerus and Champa. I've come to visit your world and meet the legendary warriors I've heard so much about."

Goku beamed with excitement. "Wow! A brother of Beerus? That's incredible! We have to train together!"

Rack chuckled, his demeanor relaxed and inviting. "I've heard about your strength, Goku. I would be honored to train with you."

Vegeta stepped forward, skepticism etched on his face. "Why have we not heard of you before? If you are indeed a brother of Beerus, you must be powerful."

"I've been exploring the universe, seeking knowledge and strength," Rack explained. "But I felt a strong calling to return to my brothers and their friends. I mean no harm; I only wish to experience the beauty of your planet and learn from its strongest warriors."

The Z Fighters exchanged glances, their initial skepticism giving way to cautious optimism. Goku, always eager to learn, extended a hand. "Let's show you around!"

Over the next few weeks, Rack became an integral part of their training sessions. He displayed incredible combat skills and offered new techniques that challenged Goku and Vegeta, who found themselves pushed to their limits. Rack's stories about his adventures in the universe captivated the Z Fighters, painting a picture of distant worlds and ancient civilizations.

As they trained, Rack's easy laughter filled the air, and he quickly gained the trust of Goku and the others. He was a skilled fighter, and they found themselves growing stronger under his guidance. "You remind me of warriors from the old tales," Rack told Goku one day. "Your spirit is unyielding."

"Thanks! I just want to keep getting stronger," Goku replied, his enthusiasm infectious. "Maybe we can train every day!"

"Absolutely," Rack agreed, his smile genuine. "There's much we can learn from one another."

Despite the friendly atmosphere, Vegeta remained cautious. He couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to Rack than met the eye, but he pushed his doubts aside, focusing on his training. After all, they had welcomed Rack as a friend, and he seemed to genuinely want to help them grow stronger.

One evening, as the sun set and painted the sky in hues of orange and pink, the Z Fighters gathered for a celebratory feast. Laughter echoed through the air as they shared stories and enjoyed the company of their new friend. Rack fit in seamlessly, his charm and charisma drawing them all in.

"Here's to new friends and strong allies!" Goku cheered, raising his cup.

Everyone joined in the toast, unaware of the storm brewing just beneath the surface. Rack's gaze lingered on the celebration, his expression unreadable. He savored the moment, but somewhere deep within, his true intentions remained cloaked in shadows.

As the night deepened and the stars twinkled above, the Z Fighters basked in the warmth of friendship, oblivious to the challenges that lay ahead. Little did they know, the peace they had come to cherish was about to be shattered.
