Chapter 5 - Expectation.

---

Weeks had passed since Goku and Vegeta's climactic battle with Alp, the Dimensional Devourer. The Earth was quiet, almost too quiet, and though the planet's inhabitants had returned to their daily lives, there was an undercurrent of tension. Both Goku and Vegeta could feel it—a sense that something monumental was looming on the horizon.

At Capsule Corp, Goku and Vegeta stood in Bulma's lab, analyzing the data Whis had collected on their Ultra Divinity transformation. It had become their most powerful form, surpassing even Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego, but using it had taken a tremendous toll on their bodies. They knew that if they were to face an even stronger foe, they'd need to refine their control.

Bulma adjusted her glasses as she studied the screen. "The energy readings are off the charts. Whatever that form is, it combines not only your instincts but also your emotions—something no Saiyan transformation has done before."

"So, you're saying it's linked to our mental state too?" Goku asked, scratching his head.

"Exactly," Bulma replied. "Your emotions affect Ultra Divinity just as much as your physical power does. That's why it's unstable. If you're not perfectly in sync, the power could backfire on you."

Vegeta scowled, arms crossed. "Typical. We achieve something incredible, and there's still a catch."

"Maybe that's part of the challenge," Goku suggested, his voice contemplative. "Mastering our emotions might be the key to perfecting Ultra Divinity."

Vegeta shot him a skeptical glance. "I'm not interested in 'emotional mastery,' Kakarot. I'm interested in strength."

Just then, Whis appeared in the lab, looking amused as always. "It seems you two are beginning to grasp the depth of Ultra Divinity," he said. "But I'm afraid time is not on your side."

Goku's eyes narrowed. "What do you mean, Whis?"

The angel's expression turned serious. "The battle with Alp didn't go unnoticed. Powerful beings across the multiverse felt the energy you unleashed. And now, one of them is heading here, drawn to your new transformation."

"Who is it?" Vegeta asked, a dangerous gleam in his eyes. He welcomed the prospect of another fight, especially after weeks of quiet.

Whis paused, choosing his words carefully. "She is known as Soraya, the Eternal Seeker. She comes from a realm where warriors devote their entire existence to the pursuit of ultimate power. She seeks only the strongest adversaries, and she has never known defeat."

Goku's face lit up with excitement. "That sounds amazing! Another powerful fighter to test Ultra Divinity against!"

But Whis raised a hand. "Do not underestimate her, Goku. Soraya's power is vast and ancient. She has faced gods and devoured planets in her search for worthy opponents. She will not hesitate to destroy everything in her path."

Vegeta's expression hardened. "If she thinks she can come here and lay waste to our world, she'll learn the hard way what it means to cross Saiyans."

Whis nodded, though his usual lighthearted demeanor was gone. "I will assist in your training. Ultra Divinity requires balance, and Soraya's approach is the exact opposite. She revels in chaos and fury, using them to fuel her strength. If you are not prepared, she will consume you."

Goku looked determined, clenching his fists. "We're ready, Whis. Whatever it takes."

For the next several days, Whis led Goku and Vegeta through grueling training sessions, pushing them to explore the depths of Ultra Divinity. The training went beyond physical combat—it forced them to confront their own limitations, fears, and even their rivalry. The two Saiyans found themselves testing each other in new ways, breaking past barriers they hadn't even known existed.

During one intense session, Whis separated them, challenging each of them to hold Ultra Divinity without the other's presence. Goku struggled, finding it hard to sustain the form alone. Without Vegeta's energy balancing his own, he felt the transformation slip, almost as if it were rejecting him.

Vegeta, too, found the task difficult. His Ultra Divinity power seemed restless, pulling against him, almost as if it were mocking his stubborn pride.

"This form relies on more than brute strength," Whis reminded them as they struggled. "It requires trust—not only in yourselves but in each other. For Saiyans like you, who thrive on rivalry, that is no easy task."

Vegeta scowled. "Trusting Kakarot isn't the issue."

Goku smiled. "I think what Whis means is we have to understand each other better. Ultra Divinity isn't just power—it's a connection, right?"

Whis nodded approvingly. "Precisely. It's why you were able to overcome Alp together. Ultra Divinity is a form born of unity."

The days blurred as their training intensified. As they practiced, they began to feel a subtle shift in their bond—a mutual respect and understanding that transcended their rivalry. Goku's recklessness balanced by Vegeta's discipline; Vegeta's pride tempered by Goku's humility. The two Saiyans had always been rivals, but now, they were learning to become something greater: true partners in powers.

One evening, as they took a break, Goku glanced up at the darkening sky. "Do you think we're ready for her, Vegeta?"

Vegeta scoffed, but there was a hint of a smile. "Ready or not, we'll make sure she regrets challenging us."

The calm stretched on, a quiet lull before the storm. And somewhere, far beyond the stars, Soraya drew closer, her aura a brilliant storm of power and fury. The Eternal Seeker had felt the pulse of Ultra Divinity, and she was coming, eager to face the Saiyans who had dared to rise to her level. But even tho she wanted to fight, she waited more.
