CASSIEL'S POV:
I was treading lightly with my answers, but I know that would only work for so long, before she'd pick another fight with me.
"Okay, my turn, you've asked three."
What, oh what, should I ask first.
"What's your favorite dessert?"
She looked at me, questioning my intent, I think.
"Ice cream." She said cautiously.
She didn't trust me. I have to change, everything is different now, and I won't risk losing her this time. I will have her, and this time, I won't let her go.
"What do you want to do after college?" She's never lived long enough to graduate, but this time, I'll be sure she does.
"I don't know, to be honest." She paused "Why are you asking such personal questions?"
"Let's just say I'm intrigued by and very invested in you. Humor me and let me ask one more question?"
"Go ahead." She said leaning back against the couch, seeming to relax a little.
"How did you meet your best friends?"
