Maya didn't sleep last night because a beautiful man, Dalton, occupied her thoughts. Throughout the day, she fantasized about him, reminiscing about how his lips felt against her skin and the heat he ignited within her.

Dalton went to New York again, and she doesn't know when he will be back. She has a lot of free time as well. The restaurant gave her three days off because of the promotion, but she didn't rest; she baked all day. She just returned from delivering pastry orders.
As she was walking back into the basement, She overheard Terrence yelling at the new chef that her stepfather had hired.
