Fuyuki City, as night falls.
All is silent as silvery moonlight quietly spreads across the land.
Within a grandiose sanctuary, solemn and ancient, belonging to the Enoshima family, the deep and resonant sound of bells drifts through the air. This sacred place welcomes new visitors: an elegant young man with a gentle smile and refined mannerisms, dressed in a moonlight-white robe, flanked by a stern, blonde knight and a nervous, black-haired girl.
Accompanying him, though unseen, is Luo Shu's Servant—a white-haired female spirit of the Archer class who has chosen to remain in "spiritual form," cloaked in the void, ready to appear at the first hint of danger.
Sensing their arrival, the heavy doors creak open.
An alluring woman with twin pigtails appears, dressed in an ornate nun's habit that somehow lacks any air of sanctity. Her tall, curvaceous figure, her subtly flirtatious manner, her confident stride—all exude a barely concealed sense of allure.
The moment she sees the young man in the moon-white robe, Enoshima Junko's face lights up with genuine pleasure.
"Luo-kun, it's been too long."
"Senior Sister, it has indeed been a while." Luo Shu offers a composed, elegant smile as he naturally takes Yukino's hand, leading her forward. His gaze drifts around, slightly nostalgic; he had once spent a part of his youth here. Perhaps those days hadn't been the best, but time has lent them a kind of quiet beauty.
"So, what brings you here?" he asked.
Enoshima Junko raises an eyebrow as she glances at the lovely girl beside him. "Bringing such an adorable girl to my door… could she be your wife?"
"No… No, i'm not…" Yukino stammers, a bit flustered, waving her hands.
Luo Shu rests his thumb against his chin, pausing for a moment before answering, "For now, I suppose we're allies."
"Allies?!" Junko's eyes widen as she catches sight of the three crimson Command Seals on Yukino's wrist—an unmistakable symbol of her involvement in the Holy Grail War.
"How remarkable…," she mumbles to herself. Who would have thought the Clock Tower's most sought-after genius would join forces with a relatively unknown girl?
"Is it really so surprising?" Luo Shu smiles, serene as moonlight.
Junko raises an eyebrow. "So, what exactly are you here for? I may be the overseer of this Holy Grail War, but don't expect me to bend the rules—I'm a woman of integrity, after all."
"It's nothing so complex," Luo Shu replies, a gentle smile lifting the corners of his lips. "All I ask is that you explain the rules of the Holy Grail War to Miss Yukino here."
"Tch. I thought it would be something more exciting," Junko huffs in mock disappointment, muttering to herself as she approaches the bewildered Yukino.
Before long, she begins to explain the rules, humming softly.
"First and foremost, let's be clear: the so-called 'Holy Grail War' is a battle for the Holy Grail, which grants the wish of its possessor…."
A light, mellow tune fills the background, as if she's imparting sacred knowledge.
Elsewhere around the world, people watch this harmonious scene, their expressions shifting from shock to wonder. Conventionally speaking, the "sanctuary" holding the previous Holy Grail War's champion, Gilgamesh, would be considered a high-risk area. And yet, if Junko Enoshima is indeed hiding something, it might suggest she has a bold ambition.
If she had set a trap here, she could eliminate both fragile Masters in a single strike. But instead, Junko is earnestly explaining the rules of the Holy Grail War to Yukino.
Are they insane, or has the world gone mad?
"Could it be that Gilgamesh isn't confident enough to face two ancient heroes?" murmurs an agent codenamed "Pangolin," scratching his head in thought.
An elderly professor with a piercing gaze counters, "Perhaps Miss Enoshima is wary of Luo-kun. According to her description, he's a prodigy so prized that even the Clock Tower fought to claim him…."
"People of such caliber often have aces up their sleeve, abilities that ordinary folk can hardly comprehend."
"Makes sense." General MacArthur nods in agreement, a faint trace of nostalgia in his expression. Even now, no prodigy from his own land, the United States, has appeared on this grand stage.
Despite seven Heroic Spirits already summoned, all are figures from Celtic mythology, Greek legends, or Japanese folklore… It's enough to fill his heart with a bittersweet ache.
In the grand tableau unfolding across the sky, scene after scene flashes by as time flows.
Inside the sanctuary, about half an hour later.
With a mischievous smile, Junko finishes explaining the Holy Grail War's rules.
"So, that's what the Holy Grail War is all about…" Yukino exhales deeply from her seat in the shadows, her hands trembling as she realizes the terrifying vortex she has been drawn into.
This battle could plunge an entire city into chaos, and each choice she makes will shift the gears of fate, impacting the predetermined future of Fuyuki City.
---------------------------------------------
Ten years ago, the devastating fire that burned everything in Fuyuki City was merely a residual effect of the Fourth Holy Grail War. The heroic spirits fought recklessly, and the seven magi serving as masters only fueled the flames...
In the end, it led to the destruction of the entire Fuyuki City, followed by post-disaster reconstruction!
The bustling area of approximately 557.1 square kilometers was reduced to scorched earth, and over a million people lost their lives...
From what Junko Enoshima said, the Fifth Holy Grail War will be just as dangerous as the Fourth.
One small mistake, and it could create a catastrophe that slaughters millions of residents!
And because of that...
I absolutely have to save those innocent people!
"Thank you, Miss Enoshima."
The young girl's gaze shifted, and she stood up, sincerely expressing her gratitude.
Enoshima Junko waved her hand lazily, "No need to be so polite, I'm just a referee for the Holy Grail War, I have to make sure every participant understands the Risks and Rewards"
"After talking for so long, I can finally send you off. My throat's a bit dry."
Her mature voice echoed in the air.
Everyone in the room understood that this was her way of issuing a polite dismissal.
Seeing this, Luo Shu smiled gracefully, "Thank you, senior."
"No problem, Luo Shu. Good luck winning this Holy Grail War!"
The older woman with fluffy hair hummed lightly, then gave Luo Shu a meaningful glance.
"It's no big deal~"
The nobleman in white calmly made a gesture, then took Yukino's hand and walked out.
Soon after, their figures gradually disappeared into the distance, and the church returned to silence.
Many people were thinking.
The massive information from the conversation between the two was enough to piece together the connections.
"It's almost certain that the person who destroyed Fuyuki City in the last Holy Grail War was Yukino's older sister, Haruno"
Someone muttered.
The voice of the aloof King Arthur had revealed that it was Haruno who used a command spell to make her destroy the Holy Grail.
This meant that the end of the Holy Grail War was likely the main cause of the city's destruction.
"No, my sister is kind-hearted. She could never do something like that."
Yukino shook her head, her eyes filled with shock and hesitation.
She knew her sister well.
But what kind of person was her sister in a parallel world? How could anyone be sure without seeing it firsthand?
For now, all she could do was gamble, guess, and hope that her sister in this parallel world was a good person.
---
In a corner of the church, golden light suddenly flickered as the ancient king Gilgamesh spoke calmly.
"I didn't expect you to like this kind of childish game."
"Isn't the great King of Heroes also hiding his true nature?"
Enoshima Junko giggled softly, licking her lips, her demeanor exuding a strange and eerie madness.
"Heh~ Such disrespectful words, if they came from someone else's mouth, their head would be on the floor."
Gilgamesh looked displeased and snorted, "I didn't expect that after the last Holy Grail War, when I saw that mixed-blood again, that mortal's beautiful fire, and the dazzling light in his eyes... it was all gone."
"How disappointing. I had thought that despite how filthy this age might be, there would be one noble soul worth preserving..."
The Hero King's expression turned cold, and he disappeared amidst Junko's strange laugh.
"Once again, the key point is from ten years ago…"
Detective Heiji Hattori furrowed his brow, gazing at the sky, unwilling to miss any clues.
The information from the last Holy Grail War was too scarce. Even with his sharp mind, he couldn't deduce much.
Damn it,
If only there were a little more information.
"Detective Hattori, there's been a murder!"
Suddenly, someone outside shouted in panic, interrupting the detective's thoughts.
"I'm coming, I'm coming."
Heiji sighed, reluctantly diving back into the reality of his investigative work.
---
Under the hazy moonlight, the city's neon lights flickering along a small street, the two walked together.
"Luo-Kun, why did you... help me...?"
The black-haired beauty hesitated for a moment, then took a deep breath and asked.
Though Yukino had set her resolve to be a "partner of justice," she was still the queen of her school, an aloof flower in the snow, disliking being indebted to anyone or receiving help out of the blue.
Even if this kindness might never be repaid, she still wanted an answer.
Hearing this, Luo Shu slightly lifted the corner of his mouth, showing a playful smile.
He looked up at the moonlight and grinned, "Well, I guess it's because I like you~"
The young man's tone was light, with a hint of playful teasing.
He recalled Yukino's efforts in starting a club to help others. That resolute, proud spirit, like a cold plum standing tall on a snowy mountain, was unavoidably likable.
"Roku-kun, stop joking around..."
The serious Yukino couldn't hold back anymore, stamping her foot and blushing.
The two figures disappeared under the moonlight, accompanied by the boy's carefree laughter as they faded away.
"Ah?!"
---------------------------------------------
In the real world, Yukino's older sister, Haruno...
Stunned, frozen in place, completely dumbfounded.
She had never seen her younger sister act this shy before. Yukino was always cold, or calm, with an air of indifference. She would look down on other girls with that "royal disdain." To get Yukino to fall in love would be like trying to stuff an elephant into a refrigerator.
But... was this really happening?!
The thought of her delicate, pure younger sister being taken away broke Haruno's heart.
She clutched her chest, struggling to breathe.
For a siscon like herself, this was an earth-shattering blow!
On the other hand, Yukino's mother, Mrs. Yukinoshita is composed. Her weathered eyes began to contemplate the situation.
So, Yukino had someone she liked, huh?
If this world's Luo Shu was truly as outstanding as he seemed, what harm would there be in matching Yukino with him?
"Luo-Kun likes me?!" Yukino's voice quivered in surprise, her face flushing with a hint of shyness as she lowered her head.
If only it were the Luo Shu from this world confessing to her, things would have been perfect.
---
The scene continued as the young man with the feathered attire smiled gently, leading Yukino and her Servants back home.
The mansion's lights were as bright as day, and a graceful figure paced back and forth in the hallway.
[Due to the collapse of "Sōgōhara Academy" during the battle between the spirits, Kaguya Shinomiya had to temporarily suspend her studies, entrusting the Shinomiya family's mundane finances to Hayasaka Ai while she rushed back to the family home at lightning speed to find her brother.]
[However, when the door opened, her expectant eyes met with several figures.]
[Her familiar older brother stood at the front, but surrounding him were three distinct and beautiful girls.]
[One was a black-haired Girl (high school girl) with a cute, rosy face, another had a foreign-style golden hair with a signature "ahoge" (hair strand sticking up), and the third was a white-haired older sister with a mischievous smile.]
"Onīi-chan~ You can't be a flirt, okay~"
Kaguya immediately flashed a dangerous smile, and an ominous aura seemed to emanate from her.
It was like she had turned dark.
She smiled, turned around, and walked toward the kitchen, ready to get something delicious for her brother.
---
Splash~
The scene came to an abrupt halt.
The vibrant, multicolored picture quickly turned black, like a TV screen dying from water damage.
The story, titled Fate/stay night, was temporarily paused, giving the audience time to reflect.
---
In the real world.
The Shinomiya family, one of Japan's "Big Four" zaibatsu (conglomerates), was enveloped in utter silence.
Everyone stared dumbfounded at the darkened screen, questioning whether they had seen something wrong.
"Is that... the silly young lady?!"
The golden-haired maid, Hayasaka Ai, tilted her head in confusion, a flicker of surprise shining in her eyes.
Could it really be an all-new version that she had never seen before?
