Chapter 237 - Chapter 237 Aftermath! Counting the Gains!

With those words, Batman and the Justice League members knew it was time to leave.

What followed would be a matter between the military and S.H.I.E.L.D.—a clash of political maneuvering and power struggles that Batman had no intention of meddling in.

The Justice League had upheld justice and gained what they deserved.

After this incident, no organization—whether it be S.H.I.E.L.D., the CIA, the FBI, Interpol, or any other random agency—would dare to act recklessly against the Justice League or brand them as illegal.

Moreover, Batman had leveraged this opportunity to strengthen ties with the military, fostering deeper cooperation in some areas.

One such area involved Wayne Enterprises, controlled by the Jamison family, which stood to benefit significantly from these developments.

Let not forget that mixed into this affair was the Cobra Organization.

Cobra financier, Destro, served as the CEO of MARS, a military industrial company that had invested over 100 billion euros into developing the nano-warhead, a superweapon.

More importantly, MARS controlled a significant share of the international arms market.

After this incident, even if MARS didn't collapse entirely, it would undoubtedly face severe retaliation from both the U.S. government and S.H.I.E.L.D.

When MARS inevitably lost its international market share, the military was likely to redirect those opportunities to Wayne Enterprises as compensation to Batman and the Justice League.

Furthermore, Anton had long had his eyes on Destro privately controlled weapons manufacturing base, the Warlord Factory.

Destro had already revealed its location under questioning. All that remained was for Anton to send his people to take it over.

Of course, the takeover wouldn't be peaceful.

But none of that mattered now.

In terms of tangible and intangible benefits, both on the surface and behind the scenes, Anton was more than satisfied with the outcome of this affair.

"Let go. Until next time," Anton said.

He didn't intend to stay any longer. After glancing at his teammates, he activated his teleportation wristband and vanished instantly.

The Justice League members followed suit, using their wristbands to teleport away, disappearing from everyone view.

The sight left John Kler, the military officers, and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents a bit envious.

Teleportation technology!

Such advanced technology, if placed in their hands, could undoubtedly be put to far greater use.

But Batman and his team were using it simply to travel.

What a waste of potential!

Tony Stark eyes glimmered as he watched them disappear.

During the alien Langar invasion, teleportation technology had piqued his interest.

However, the chaos of subsequent events had caused him to forget about it.

Now, after witnessing Batman performance in this battle, the idea resurfaced.

Tony decided he should delve into researching this unique and highly practical technology.

"Hey—"

At that moment, as Batman and the others vanished, a startled voice rang out.

"Batman, wait for me!"

The speaker was none other than Phil, a formal member of the Justice League and the one known as Phantom.

Phil had stepped outside upon sensing something unusual and immediately noticed the familiar figures in the training ground center.

But just as he was about to greet them, Batman and the others teleported away.

Phil was left utterly dejected, standing lost in thought.

"Why is it that the moment I show up, everyone leaves…"

He stood in the shadow of the Sky Carrier, looking toward a distant glimmer of light, sighing deeply.

"Is it really my fate to always miss the main action?"

"Oh?"

Suddenly, the Jamison father and son approached Phil.

"Did Batman just leave?"

J. Jonah Jamison looked up at the massive Sky Carrier overhead, his tone filled with amazement.

"So this is the super warship mentioned in the broadcast. Incredible.

No wonder the host said it might be alien technology. It looks nothing like something Earth could create."

"Huh?"

Beside him, John Jamison blinked, sensing his father had just inadvertently mentioned something that shouldn't be revealed.

In the vastness of space.

A massive spherical spaceship hovered silently in the corner of a distant galaxy.

Anton and his team were teleported aboard this vessel.

This was none other than the Justice League base—a piece of alien technology known as the War Fortress.

"It over," Anton said, glancing around at his companions with a smile.

"We gained a lot this time. From now on, no one will dare take a shot at us again."

"Though, from what those people said earlier, Hydra isn't completely wiped out," Daredevil remarked.

"What your plan? Are you going to take them on by yourself?"

"No, I don't plan to deal with Hydra any further," Anton replied with a shake of his head.

"Hydra motto is to cut off one head and two more shall take its place.

No matter how many you kill, they always find a way to regrow. They're a never-ending problem."

"So, you're leaving it to S.H.I.E.L.D.?" Eddie mused after a moment.

"Considering the situation now, S.H.I.E.L.D. won't let Hydra off the hook. It better to leave Hydra to them—it'll save us the trouble.

Besides, this whole ordeal has already served as a warning to them. Hydra won't dare move against us recklessly again."

"Exactly," Anton nodded.

"Hydra no longer poses a threat to us. If they ever cross us again, we can obliterate them in an instant.

And they'll never know how much information we've gathered on them. When it comes to strength, we have no reason to fear anyone."

"Fair enough," Daredevil agreed.

"Since you've got it figured out, I won't say more. The matter settled—I should head back."

With that, he bid farewell and teleported away.

Spider-Man, the Ninja Turtles, and the others soon followed, leaving one by one.

Anton dismissed his duplicates, and soon the vast base was empty, save for him.

"Whew—"

A smile spread across Anton face.

Beyond the material gains from this mission, there was one crucial reward.

Justice Points.

[Captured Alexander Pierce and rumlow, foiled Hydra conspiracy, and crippled Hydra S.H.I.E.L.D. division. Reward: 5 million Justice Points.]

[Current Justice Point Balance: 45 million.]

He was edging closer to his goal of 100 million—a milestone now nearly halfway reached.

Anton felt a surge of satisfaction.

Still, earning this 5 million Justice Points had taken considerable effort compared to previous missions. By any measure, this had been a challenging task.

Of course, it wasn't exactly a small reward either.

After all, while Alexander Pierce was nominally Hydra leader, few within Hydra truly saw him as such, save for his own faction.

Most of the other Hydra leaders operated independently, treating Pierce more as a figurehead than a true ruler.

Strictly speaking, Pierce represented just one major branch of Hydra.

Taking him down didn't mean taking down Hydra entirely.

With that perspective,

5 million Justice Points seemed fair.
